The reset button does not wipe data from the Blackberry. It is more like a ctrl alt delete. It just resets the Blackberry but all of the data will still be there.
Using App loader like described will wipe all of the data from the device. Entering the password incorrectly 10 times will wipe...
Maybe try Blackberry support or your carrier support.
If you have T-Support with Blackberry you can email them and ask or call with your t-support number. The email address is help@blackberry.net. Just put your T-support number in the subject line.
Redirector only works with Exchange not Domino. So if you are a Domino/Notes shop this won't work.
If vodafone offers Blackberry Web Client they should be able to tell you how to access and sign up on an account with them. Then you can access your mail via pop3 if it is enabled on your mail...
There is a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) Simulator that needs to be running on the same machine as the Blackberry simulator for it to work. Then if you run MDS as well you will be able to view most websites as long as the computer has internet access.
6710 - Not colour. Larger screen. Web browsing experience isn't as nice. Serial. If you want to add things to the device such as card scanners etc then you need the serial connection.
7210/7230 - Colour, better web browsing experience. USB.

You shouldn't need a policy. You need 3.6 Desktop Manager. Try uninstalling 3.5 and if you are comfortable do a quick scan of the registry for any research in motion entries to be removed. Then install the 3.6 Desktop Manager software.

1.6 is not the code level it is a platform number.
Go into options, applications then select modules. This will show you the version of Handheld code you have. Then go to ATT's website to verify you have the latest code release or to get the latest code.

There is Blackberry Web Client that allows users to access POP accounts. Who is the carrier? I think there are also third parties that provide internet addresses etc.
You can setup desktop redirector on the users PC. But then they will need to keep that machine up and running 24/7 in order to get their mail.
Doesn't work so well for users with Laptops.
Also you still need an Exchange Server running.
2.6 handheld code is for the 95X and 85X or non java devices (C++ devices running on Cingular and Motient networks).
3.6 handheld code is for java devices (such as 5810, 6710, 6750...)except for Tri-Band series.
The 72XX and 6230 are running 3.7 handheld code and are tri-band devices...

It DOES work with the T-Mobile devices but you need the right software installed on the Handhelds, desktop and Server.
Do you have 3.6 or 3.7 running on the Blackberry depending on the model and 3.6 for desktop manager?
