We have been attempting to install an IP gateway between the NTE and Nortel (Meridian) PBX. The Long Distance NI2 trunks are working but the local are not. The protocol of these trunks is DMS100. This is an option on our IP gateway but both inbound and outbound calls are getting rejected by...
Thanks Chuck, I suspected as much and have been hunting down a copy of the software. From your reply do I guess that it also needs to loaded on the MAS to work?

I have to add many new local subscibers to our Modular Messaging system. Currently I use web access but can't find anything of use in the Help menus. Is it possible to duplicate a user, adding multiple new users as with Stations/Agents etc on the Avaya CM voice systems?

The 'list usage extension' command to confirm announcement usage does not report on announcements used as a VDN Variable. Without using 3rd party applications, does anybody know how to view a complete list?
Cheers,

ISDNman/Tatoin,
Thanks for your comments but I am specifically interested in peoples experience of the AT&T MPLS cloud in Europe. We are live in about 12 sites with 3 times that amount to bring on. My enquiries are because of some unexplained occurrences that refuse to go away and I wondered...
We are deploying an IP telephony solution across many sites throughout Europe. We have a centralised Avaya s8700 with G700 Gateways at strategic offices with IP satellites hanging off the Gateway sites. The connectivity is being provided by AT&T using their MPLS cloud into Cisco routers which...
We are upgrading our Medpro's and I can find little info on the Avaya website that describes what is involved - configs and settings etc.. Can anyone shed any light?
Many Thanks,

Hi All,
We have deployed a number of G700 Media Gateway’s throughout various sites in Europe where we have between 50 and 200 IP Agents along with regular IP phone users at each. They connect back to an S8700 in the UK, running 3.1.2 via an MPLS cloud which is managed by a single Telco. At...
Mike,
As far as I am aware, DCS is an Avaya proprietary networking protocol. QSIG is the ISO worldwide private networking standard, allowing Supplementary Services and Features to be passed amongst PBX’s of different manufacturers. Check out the Avaya website for the “Administration for...
CBB,
Following a project to install and network a number of Definity Prologix PBX's in East Asia, I think you will find that the answers are;
E1
Yes
Mu-Law
The last answer is based on an old drawing that showed our site in Singapore connected to Philippines as A-Law but then each connected to...
Paul,
Some of my family moved to Canada (Quebec and Ontario) some 40+ years ago – you must know them! In London Avaya have quite a few systems although the high profile of IP telephony is leading to change outs with a lot of new installs going to the traditional data switches (Cisco etc.)...
Hi,
I have inherited a Definity, (its in Spain – I’m in London) with an embedded Audix TN568 and need to know how I get admin access. In the UK I’m used to getting access via a multi port data buffer/modem. This is wired to the PBX and any adjuncts – voicemail, CMS etc., and allows me to...
