Thanks for the replies Trevatwork and linney. I found out that it was Norton Antivirus that was accessing the floppy during shut down. Problem solved! Thanks for that link linney!!
My harddrive recently crashed, and I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Home. I updated to SP2. However I noticed that whenever Windows shuts down, the floppy drive goes crazy. I have no idea what it's trying to find. Could someone please shed some light on this issue?
Thanks!
Installed Smart Protector trial version, and that fixed it. It seems to have deleted all of my temporary internet files and index.dats. That allowed IE to make a new, clean index.dat. Thanks for the replies!
When I click on the history button in my Internet Explorer 6, the history pane that comes up on the left side is blank. It shows "Today", View, and Search. However if I click on the Today, it doesn't expand. So essentially, nothing is being kept there. However, IE does keep a cache of all...
I was able to fix this problem. There seems to be a glitch in IE where it doesn't know where to write the temporary files. I had to go to Tools->Internet Options->Settings->Move Folder, and pick any folder, then apply it, and then change it back to the usual ../local settings/temporary...
Hi, I am having trouble viewing the source code of any webpage that I come across. Whenever I right click on the page and view->source, nothing happens. However if I were to run an HTML (or any other file) from my harddrive drive, and then right click, view->source, and notepad opens and shows...
Hi, I have always used Ctrl+Enter to complete the URL that I type into the address bar of Internet Explorer 6. All of a sudden, it's not working anymore. I've recently upgraded to Windows Media player 10 and installed Tracks Eraser Pro 5.1. I'm not sure if those 2 had anything to do with...
I believe it started the beep after I installed a Logitech Quickcam. If I stop all Logitech related tasks in the Task Manager, then the beep goes away when I turn off the computer. There are no conflicts within my device manager.
Lately, when I do shutdown on my Windows XP Home machine, the computer makes a beeping noise. It does it when the screen turns to baby blue and says Windows is saving your settings. The computer turns off fine, and boots up fine too. I'm just trying to find out what's causing this beep...
Hi, I'm having some trouble placing text directly below 5 images. The images are of different widths and heights, but placed on the same line. The page that I'm having the problem with is here http://www.ac-interactive.com/aci/oz/index.php
I want the text to go right below the horizontal red...
You will need special downloading software to download .ram files, as they are "RTSP://" protocol instead of "http://" protocol. I use CoCSoft Stream Down to download .ram files. It supports RTSP, MMS, MMSU, and MMST. You can download it at www.cocsoft.com
linney, I just did what bob2 posted, and it did not work. I've also gone into Folder Options, and all the icons for JPGs, GIFs, and others are correct. But Windows is still displaying the PSD icon for all my images. I think I have to tweak the registry to fix this problem. However, I have no...
I looked through the Preferences in Photoshop, and I don't see anything about making it the default program for JPGs. Right now, when I double click any image file, it does open in Photoshop. It's just that every image file has the PSD icon, which is very annoying.
