Why does Photoshop 11 always ask me for JPEG options before saving?

Can't I tell it not to be helpful when I am sure I don't need it? ------------------------------ An old man [tiger] who lives in the UK

    30,000 pigs

Television subtitles often make worse errors. Like saying "the Arab Spring has become an Arab Bottom", when the man said "Autumn". Or "foot-soldiers" becoming foot shoulders. I have a collection of them on Flickr. There are also hymns, . "Though is not an error, "without" has an...

Why does Photoshop 11 always ask me for JPEG options before saving?

I like using jpg, which is universal. I was hoping to be told how to get the software to do what I want, not be told that my wishes were foolish. ------------------------------ An old man [tiger] who lives in the UK

Why does Photoshop 11 always ask me for JPEG options before saving?

I like to save files in a different name and in a different file. And as JPGs. But each time, it gives me a box with "JPEG Options". The automatic selections are fine. But I have to click OK each time. It's the sort of thing you'd expect to default. I'm new to Photoshop, probably missing...

Is There a Noun That Can't be "Verbed?"

English has been evolving steadily since it appeared as a distinct language. Often it has two or sometimes three alternative words for the same thing, mostly originating from Anglo-Saxon, Norman-French and scholarly use from Latin or Greek. It is common for nouns to be verbed, verbs to nounify...

How do I get programs to start at startup?

How do I get programs to start at startup?

On Windows XP and earlier systems, I could get programs to start whenever I started the machine, by putting them into a 'startup' menu within the start menu. For Windows 7, this does not exist, or at least I cannot find it. I also cannot find any replacement function: Windows Help on Startup...

My iPAQ h1910 isn't recognised by Windows 7

Update - I got an HP IPAQ RX1950 and that will link, though it started out telling me to get a newer version of Windows, I suppose it could not recognise Windows 7. This was Outlook 2002. ------------------------------ An old man [tiger] who lives in the UK

My iPAQ h1910 isn't recognised by Windows 7

I can't see anywhere to look up the software version. The synchronisation is IPAQ2, does that help? ------------------------------ An old man [tiger] who lives in the UK

Office 2002 doesn't seem to recognise Broadband

I'm moving from AOL, which had alwasy handled my mail. But when I try to get my old copy of Office to take over, it seems only to recognise phone lines and 'Local Area Networks'. Is that a limit of the software? Something I can't get round without an expensive upgrade...

My iPAQ h1910 isn't recognised by Windows 7

I'd been synchronising for years, no problem. But my new machine with Windows 7 says there is no software to link. Is this true? If so, how can I fix it? If I have to get a more modern iPAQ, how modern? ------------------------------ An old man [tiger] who lives in the UK

    Which Organisers work with Outlook?

    Which Organisers work with Outlook?

For years, I have used an old Organiser called an iPad with my version of Outlook 2002. It's convenient to be able to syncronise them. So far so good. Recently I moved to a new PC running Windows 7. It runs Outlook OK but refused to recognise the Orraniser. It supposedly searched software...

Jumping Text Boxes in Word 2002

When I place a text box in a Word document, it will sometimes let itself be placed and moved, but not always. I have it formatted as Layout > Tight, but on occasions the box will attach itself to the top of the page and refuses to move. I can see the 'anchor' and try to move but success is...
