I'm moving from AOL, which had alwasy handled my mail. But when I try to get my old copy of Office to take over, it seems only to recognise phone lines and 'Local Area Networks'.

Is that a limit of the software? Something I can't get round without an expensive upgrade?

Just a quick question. How do you connect to the internet (Dial up, DSL, cable, satellite)? For the most part (as least here in the USA). Anything not dial up is considered broadband and you use a network port on your computer to a modem.

I hope this helps.

How is your router connected to your PC - network or USB? If network, choose Local Area Network. I've never tried USB so I can't tell you what to do there.

I'm linked by cable, via a USB. No LAN.
