I recently did this with a laptop. Purchased full XP pro and performed an upgrade rather than a clean install. I did have 2 apps that needed re-installing but other than that it was a painless procedure. Oh, expect I forgot to activate it so now I only have 1 day left todo it! Mustn't forget!!

Well as this is in a school, I have at least 3 notebooks to 'upgrade' I'd prefer to upgrade rather than re-install in this case due to the amount of Apps etc installed. I guess we'll see how it goes!

Could be a DNS problem. Check the DNS setting of your workstation is the IP address of your server. Also, make sure your server has it's DNS service configured correctly
