XP Home to Pro

I have been trying to find the answer to this question but with no luck.

Can you upgrade from XP Home to Pro?

The reason being we have a few XP Home laptops which have been working fine, but now we want to properly join them to our domain and not just on the workgroup.

If it is for a business, you really should do a clean XP Pro install.
However, you can install Pro over Home if you really really must.

I recently did this with a laptop. Purchased full XP pro and performed an upgrade rather than a clean install.

I did have 2 apps that needed re-installing but other than that it was a painless procedure.

Oh, expect I forgot to activate it so now I only have 1 day left todo it! Mustn't forget!!
