    Enterprise Manager?

I recently installed oracle 11g on a test server too. (We're currently running 9.2) and noticed the same thing. Found out that there is no Enterprise Manager as I know it. It is a browser-based thing they call Enterprise Manager, but it doesn't look anything like what I'm used to. Enterprise...

Files taking a log time to back up...

I'm starting to notice that my folder with lots of small files (963,600 files in 48,974 directories) will backup correctly if I turn Open File Manager off. If I have OFM on, it seems to not back up those files. (Even though it looks like it did in the job log, I can go to Restore and browse...

How do I fix an "Unable to attach to..." error message?

You could try pushing the agent out to your mail server again. Tools>Install Remote Agents Then you'll have to restart your mail server. I had to do that this week because for some reason it stopped communicating with my mail server.

brendenmiller, Our backup takes a long time to run too. We moved from Tapeware to Backup Exec 11d 2 months ago. Got new server, new tape drive. I backup only the extremely important files during the week (500 GB, takes 17 hours) and then try to do a full backup on the weekend (1 TB, takes 40...

    No Exchange Stores/Mailboxes Showing

Hi, I'm running 11d so I may not be much help. 1. Did you reboot the exchange server after you installed the agent? 2. In Backup Exec Tools>Options>Microsoft Exchange did you check those settings to make sure they are set like you want? 3. Try rebooting the Backup exec server. You might...

Red X icon on Blackberry Server Management Console

Hi, We had a similar problem. Make sure you are up-to-date on all the blackberry server patches/SP's. We also had to run HandHeldCleanup.exe because we moved from Exchange5.5 to Exchange2003 and also changed server names. If you need to run this, read the docs for the correct switches to use.

    Outlook2000/Exchange 2003 Helpdesk possibilities???

We're using Liberum Help Desk (it's free). But, when I was searching for something to track Help Desk problems I noticed Microsoft has an Outlook Form. It's called Outlook 97/98 Help Desk Form. If it does not work, since it's kinda old, maybe you could use it as an example to create your own...

Creating a web site that can access a MS database (not using frontpage

Can't help you with the intranet site, but for helpdesk db we've been using one from http://www.liberum.org/ It is free, it has the Access db already set up and the front-end web pages. It was pretty easy to configure and start using. The difficult part for us has been getting our users to...

    Regarding FTP

I notice each of your examples has the filename in it. You might try it without the filename: ftp://www.blah.com/clientname/ or ftp://www.blah.com/ or ftp://(the ip address)/ You could also try it at the DOS prompt instead of the browser and see if that makes a difference.

    Wndows Nt 4.0

I don't know alot in the networking area, but if you are able to bring down the network, you could try shutting down the PDC and BDC and then start up the PDC first to see if it takes over.

    query - SQL or PL/SQL?

Hi, I have a simple query that pulls information from a table: Select Field1, Field2 From MyTable Where Field2 < (sysdate - 30); (Field2 is a date field. This query lists everything that is over 30 days old.) What I want to add next to this query is: If Field2 is under 30 days old then return...
