It's an old Fujitsu device that ran a digital menu board originally. The SP3 was for embedded XP. I think the best thing would be to reformat and load up Win7 Posready and give it another go. This was just a proof of concept as we've never tried the win32 client before.
Hi all,
I've been asked to get an older Embedded Windows XP system working as a RES 4.11 workstation. The system has been upgraded to XP SP3 and has dotnet 3.5.1 installed. I've installed the CAL Win32 3.1.3.116 and it finds the server and am able to select the one workstation I have set with...
We have had the same issue come up occasionally. This is how we resolve it. You may have to make adjustments based on your order type numbers though (our delivery types are 2 & 5 and carry-out is 1). You may also have different distribution status definitions to us as well.
To search for the...
I haven't tried this myself, but how about this - In Menu Items, set the price of the combo meal menu item to $0.00. In the Combo Group setup, set a price for each item within the combo groups that will be part of the combo so that the combined price of the individual items adds up to the combo...
I just use the DisplayTouchScreen xxxxx function (where xxxxx is the micros.ts_scrn_def.obj_num) just before the EndEvent. I don't think I've had to define Next Screen in the ts design.
That's interesting. Our opsdisplaysys.cfg has never been encrypted. What you are saying makes sense though and explains why we've been getting caught out when applying maintenance releases and hot fixes. I think I shall do some cut/paste and move our custom templates to the right file.
You might want to check the opsdisplaysys.cfg file as that is where touchscreen designs(?) are called from. This file tends to get overridden when you apply a MR or hotfix, so if 32003 is a custom one, it might just be a case of copying back a pre-HF version. This caught us out the other week...
We use an old Sybase product called Remoteware but is great but now end-of-life. I think we might be looking at Tanium http://www.tanium.com/ as a replacement.
I've seen something similar and it was fixed by running the WCF Wipe Compact Flash utility found in DOC\Utilities (this is on a WS5a). You take the "Clear all registry settings" and "Erase Compact Flash" options. After completing this the WS will shut down. After you power back on, you'll be...
Need a bit of help.
I'd like to set up a macro with one of the steps using Function: Smart Key. The smart key works just fine when called from a ts key but I have no idea what key code should be used in order to specify the correct one when setting it up in the macro. Can anyone help?
Can you not just do a receive.exe -F to do a force receive on the EM server? Could have sworn I've done that before to fix the same issue but I may be imagining things.
We're on 4.11 MR5 on XP SP3. It is a pretty rare issue - think the call numbers probably averaged 1-2 per week from our 300 stores. It was just often enough to be annoying. Since we've been importing the reg key on a regular basis, I don't think anyone has had the issue long enough to log a case...
You can also import this into your registry and it will be on the next time your server boots. We have a scheduled task to do this daily as we keep finding that it disappears at random times.

You could do a search through the ticket to mark whether the tip service charge has been added or not and then call different @Trailer strings.
e.g.
event print_trailer: Tips
Var nCnt :N9
Var str_tip_exists :N1 = 0
For nCnt = 1 To @NUMDTLT
If @DTL_Has_Charge_Tip[nCnt] = 1 Then...
We are planning to implement for the same scenario by using a QR code bitmap (to link to the survey site home page) on the trailer, and a code for the customer to enter that is created by a SIM print_trailer event give a jumbled store ID and chk_seq number. If someone has a better idea, I'm...
We had that in Australia at the beginning of last year but it was just a matter of changing the certificate file in CA/EDC Drivers for a new 2048-bit one that was provided to us by the bank. We are using a custom CA/EDC driver though so I don't know if there would be any difference in your...
You could always create a new TS version if you want to modify one of your existing screens and link that version to your lab system in the Enterprise>>Assign Touchscreens. We do that all the time for testing new layouts/functions.
