Hi all,
My one customer that uses this facility is having some problems following the change to Outlook 365. System is running R10.1 SP7.
On their reception PC running Outlook 365 version 16.0.13127.21668 it works every time without fail. On another machine running 16.0.14026.20308 it does not...
I don't know whether this will help you but my one and only server edition outside of my lab system started doing funny things after the IT people moved it onto a larger server without telling me. It was processing calls OK but voicemail could not be left and one-X showed as running with the...
I had one of those and what made it especially confusing was that when they dialed into the head office that has a BCM50 the first call would go to the user but the second call would go to voicemail and if it was a long call the caller would get a message to say the BCM had stopped recording...
I haven't done many of these but I have followed the upgrade steps using Rufus to set up the USB key with a freshly downloaded ISO. I know they can be a bit fussy as to the USB key even so it's the same USB key as I have used for the others. It might be worth spending a bit more time on it and I...
Hi all,
I have a newly acquired customer with a UC module that is not working. I've brought it back to the office, plugged it into my 9.1 system and initially it did come up with 0.0.0.0 as the IP address and only VM Pro running. on a shutdown and reboot it allocated itself a 10.185.xxx.xxx...
I had this problem too. Brand new install and I requested the contractor to upgrade it to 9.1 but they didn't so it was 9.0 SP nothing. All 4 ports of the ATM4v2 card had the same port number. You could change port 1 from Loop Start ICLID to Loop Start but not 2 to 4 yet calls would not ring in...
Hi all,
Trying to get my head around how to config VM Pro for customer requirements. I haven't done much with VM Pro as virtually all of my installs are Essential Ed apart from some limited experimentation I've done on my own demo system. I have set up some queues on Definity and Nortel DMS100...
I'll go along with Kierso with the UC modules. My only customer with one (they specified it over my recommendations) lost connection to it a while ago. It all appeared to be running but they could not access VM. Removed it and brought it back to the office to reimage it and it would not reimage...
I use a lot of Ubiquiti for point to point but haven't used their routers. I occasionally use their access points but I'm not a fan of the fact that they lock to the laptop you used to set them up and you don't seem to be able to use another machine to adopt them without defaulting them.
I'm...
I found an interesting issue with my 9508 on my demo system that I just upgraded to 9.0.3. The firmware updated OK but after a few days I noticed the DTMF had disappeared when dialling calls. The call went through OK but obviously I couldn't use an auto attendant. I rebooted the phone and the...
I managed to brick a UCM trying to upgrade from 8.1 to 9 even following the instructions to the letter. As it was less than 90 days I managed to get it RMA'd and got a new one which was 8.0.something and that went to 9 perfectly.
With the caveat that its not a good practice to run an alarm through a phone system unless it is on a UPS - it should work fine. I've done it several times temporarily. You will have to set up a hotline on that analogue extension so it can grab a line directly and the alarm people may not like...
Algo 8180 may suit your purpose. I haven't looked how they compare cost-wise with the Cyberdata which are expensive in Australia or an ATA and analogue ringer.
The 8180 actually supports 2 accounts so one acts as the ringer and the other can be set up as a 2-way speaker such as would be used...
The upgrade process from 8.1 to 9 requires different applications to the 8.0 to 8.1 upgrade. I managed to corrupt the file system on a customers UC module doing the 8.1 to 9 upgrade but fortunately got it changed over because it was less than 3 months from when I had bought it. Second time...
I managed to badly corrupt the file system on one when upgrading from 8.1 to 9.0. Fortunately it was soon after install so I got it RMA'a for a new one which I had to upgrade from 8.0.42 to 9.0.

In Australia I use the 2N Helios SIP door phones which are very simple to configure. They seem to be branded Cortelco in the US. There is a DevConnect document for them and I have used them previously on other systems. A customer has supplied me with a Dallas Delta SIP door station and I can't...
I have had a brand new 1416 out of a batch of 50 which will not upload firmware at all - it got to approx 75MB and then failed. It didn't attempt to start again unless you pulled the plug and plugged it back in again. Had it replaced under warranty.
Kind regards,
Jamie
This reply is probably a bit late but I've recently used 2 x 2N Helios Vario IP door stations at a very upmarket house. These have been certified through DevConnect and simply require a 3rd party IP license. They have a relay contact on board with the option of a second contact and can be set up...
