To be fair, any business running a MAC envoironment will be used to limited compatabilty with business related software/apps, it isn't cost effective for most to develop for Mac
You COULD run SoftConsole on a Windows machine in the back room and access it via RDP from MAC. That would work fairly well - except for maybe the keyboard mapping.
