Unable to configure 3 of the 4 CO lines in Manager. What could cause this?

I have recently installed an IPO500 V2 (Version 9.0.600.979). It is equipped with Digital Station 8 Card (Bay1) and a Combo card (Bay2). I had upgraded it to 9.1.1.0 Build 10 but downgraded it back when I realized I needed an upgrade license.

Presently I have 2 (CO) central office lines connected via the combo card (Port 9-Line5 and Port 10- Line6). There is dial tone on both lines (when disconnected from IPO), the light on the ports are green when plugged in, the lines appear in IPO System Status as Idle. In Manager I can configure the line5 but when I click on lines 6,7 or 8 it reverts back to Line5.

I tried switching the lines on different ports but same result.

I suspect it may have something to do with the upgrade and subsequent downgrade.

I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.

Yeah, I did a R9.1 to 9.0 downgrade and it completely hosed the PRI, and would crash when trying to modify it. Luckily it was only to see if DECT D100 would work, which was resolved in 9.1.2, so re-upgraded and restored the last good 9.1 config. If you need to stay at 9.0, you may need to export the portions of the config, default the box and import them back

Delete the cards, lines and extns associated and reboot. System will put them back on power up. Renumber everything how you want it and away you go.

Seen this a couple of times and this is the only way around it.

It can happen to extensions too. It will only show you the first one of the TDM ports so you cant change any numbers.

Are you using the correct version of manager?

Sometimes when you have issues like this, the problems are caused by things like that.

Agree with Jamie this has happened in the field. Also see changes to line 1 saved simultaneously to line 2 (but not taking effect)!
Just for a bit of added excitement.

No more monkeys jumping on the bed.

I had this problem too. Brand new install and I requested the contractor to upgrade it to 9.1 but they didn't so it was 9.0 SP nothing. All 4 ports of the ATM4v2 card had the same port number. You could change port 1 from Loop Start ICLID to Loop Start but not 2 to 4 yet calls would not ring in on port 1. I sent down a replacement Phone 2/ATM4 which they installed and it worked fine in slot 3 but not slot 2. I got the old one back, put them in my system running 9.1 SP1 and they worked normally.

Fortunately the analogue lines are temporary only as the customer is going PRI when they get around to it.

Kind regards,

Jamie

I just went through the same thing. Box came in with 9.1.something. I am having trouble figuring out the security settings with 9.1, so I downgraded to 9.0.3 as it was all I had quick access to. While using Manager 9.1, I opened the 9.0.3 config on the box and could not configure any line but 1 or any user but 201. Each time it gave the same indication as yours. I had to default the box and reload the licenses, use manager 9.0.3 and I can now program anything in there I want. In my experience, and just mine :) , 9.1 is a plague.

R9.0.5 is more stable than 9.0.3

Given your other posts, I would suggest getting a demo kit (or a not yet deployed system) and having a play around with the security settings. Start with creating a master account if you break it and then use a second account and add features to see what rights it gives you and why it is relevant.
Toll fraud is not going away. Palestine and Romania are only an exploit away.

You really must be ultra paranoid with your installs.

Eh you pretty good. See you next time!

Holdmusic34, I know there is just something I am missing, besides more training! :)
