We will soon be implementing Spectralink 8440 WiFi phones to replace the Cisco 8821X (I manage an Avaya CM10 and a Cisco UCM). So far the stations are built. We just need to create an SSID, VLAN to finish implementing them.

I agree with SyQuest. Fiber is your best option. You can get fiber to Ethernet adapters dirt cheap nowadays if that's what you need at each end. Throughput should be about 1Gb minimum. That's what I did for a 600 foot run between buildings for live video feed.
On display station, page 1, you should see on the top right BCC/TN/COR/COS. COR can be set so the staff does or doesn't require a long distance code to dial out. In the auth code command is where you assign individuals long distance codes based on FRL I mentioned above. If on my phone my COR...
I have an Avaya system converted from G3iV9 to VoIP CM 5.2.1 that I will soon upgrade to 6.2. I also have a stand alone ShoreTel system that was recently upgraded from 7.5 to 12.5. Avaya and ShoreTel are constantly making changes. I don't know about anywhere else, but careers are scarce in...
I use a COR (example COR 30) with FRL 7 for International and another COR (example COR 31)with FRL 5 for National only. I then have the individual auth codes as 30 or 31. Use cha auth command to add/remove authorization codes for individuals. Alternatively you can use another COR (example COR...
I am running CM 5.2.1. On page 2 of console parameters I attempted to remove the Common Shared Extensions, but got "Referral call or Background BSR Polling in progress, cannot disable feature." We don't use call parking, don't have an ACD or any other special feature that uses this. I removed...
Use a MDMU (multi digital messaging unit) that records and plays back announcements overhead. *7 to record. *6 to playback jingle. We used to use it, but had complaints in ER.

I am running CM 5.2.1 and tried doing the same thing. On page 2 of console para I attempted to remove the Common Shared Extensions, but got "Referral call or Background BSR Polling in progress, cannot disable feature. We don't use call parking, don't have ACD or any other...
I don't have the ability to do a MCT within my Avaya CM 5.2 but require the ability to do a malicious call trace for AT&T to track external threatening call to my PBX operator every night.
Do I forward digits *57 to the ARS table? I keep getting intercept tone. I tried setting the digits in...
Enter CHA FEAT (CHANGE FEATURE ACCESS CODE) and near the bottom of page 3 you should see "Self Station Display Activation". Enter a unique three-digit code such as 616 then press Enter or F3. Test by going to phone that has a display and enter the code you created. Hope this helps.
If this doesn't work, go the PBX and connect a phone directly to port (at MDF) and see if it responds. Disable any DND or send, call forwarding from there then try doing change/delete station again.
I discovered that during my attempt to change or remove a station I received an error "object in use, please try again later". I did find that the number had been call forwarded to another number. I simply added the extension to my phone (bridged) and canceled call forwarding. Hope this helps...
I have a SIP server that was installed a week ago during our upgrade from 9.5 to CM 5.2, but I have yet to learn its capabilities. I have so~ much to learn that I am seriously considering taking some Medak courses even if my boss won't pay for it. (I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate...
What emulator program are you using? TuTTy? TeraTerm? I've had better results using TuTTy (make sure SSH is off) with same configuration described by AvayaTier3. I also recently installed a CLAN card and on backplane connected ethernet to network. That way I can talk to my PBX from anywhere...

Relatively new with Avaya Definity running G3siV9. AT&T added a new area code (442) to the present (760), but they also made it eleven digit (1+area code). I changed the AAR ANA to Min/Max = 11. I am not sure how to fix the inability to make international calls (specifically to Mexico). I did...
