BCM 3.7 offered SIP trunking but only for BCM-to-BCM communications.
BCM 4.0 and BCM50 2.0 allows SIP trunking to the CS1000, BCM and MCS5100.
Currently SIP trunking only between Nortel switches.
You're going to need a computer programmer to help you out. The IVR functionality basically does this:
1. BCM answers the call
2. IVR prompts the caller for input
3. Caller inputs using dialpad
4. IVR translates the numerical input and performs a data-dip in a database
5. IVR responds depending...
I would recommend that you use the VPN client termination that's available on the BCM50 2.0. You might still run into NAT'ing issues because you need CONE NAT, NAT hair-pinning and making sure traffic gets through between the two. The easiest way is to use the 2050 soft phone with the VPN client...
If you're treating your call through the Automated Attendant (AA). You can pull a report on the CCR tree and that should have an abandoned calls report.
This is the equivalent to asking if the power cord is plugged in but...
Is the username and password correct?
Other than that, I'd check the logs on the BCM and FTP server.
The IVR can do that but you have to ask yourself is it worth it? Interactive Voice Response is typically used as a self-service transaction and requires specialized know-how on the BCM as well as understanding the database application it's dipping into.
Here's an example of what the IVR was...
Yup, this feature is part of Intelligent Contact Center and is called "Intelligent Routing" using DNIS (Dialed Number Identification Service).
Check the above recommendations/concerns too.
Just want to make sure of the following: If you have 4 analog lines and all 4 agents are on calls then anyone calling into the office number will not get through. (4 lines = 4 calls)
Depending on how you're going to mount the BCM50 (wallmount or rackmount) Nortel has a wiring card (for the...
I sound like a total sales guy but check out Convertec's Console.NET. It's a pretty slick PC console for your front desk that gives you more functionality than just BLF.

There are a couple software makers out there; I've found Convertec to be solid products. I'm not sure if they have exactly what you're looking for but it couldn't hurt to ask.
