You can see who has what file open on a DFS server in Computer Management -> System Tools -> Shared Folders -> Open Files.

You may want to see if the server is registering itself in DNS, or better yet create a host record for it.

Thanks for the info. I tried what you suggested, both in submit.mc and sendmail.mc. I was able to get it to change the sender's domain but not the recipient. I set it back as I do want to know where the emails are coming from (system messages to/from root/adm/etc). Any further thoughts on this?

You may also want to review your email clients. In RH5 linux there is one - "email" which allows you to attach files.

Thanks. I tried the access changes but that didn't work. From the log I can see that the initial message is accepted, the alias is determined, then the alias is determined to be invalid and the email fails. It appears to me that instead of relaying the email to mailhost it relays it to itself...

The DL360 offers several SAS drive sizes. We went with 2 72G in a mirror. Lots of space and full redundancy. For perfomance you'll see better results by going with a x64 version of Windows and extra RAM.

Pulling user names can be done with a vbs script but I've never found anything to pull passwords. Security in Windows is designed to protect the passwords and so there wouldn't be any "legitimate" tools to pull them. I guess you would need to pull the user name, then run a script that would...
