Are you trying to connect them over a LAN, VPN, WAN, the Internet? That will matter to your setup. It might be helpful to pull in an IT person to assist if you just do telecom. The IP address setup will be different depending on where the devices are placed in the network.
Yes, found that out today. Not included in the 100. Although the cost for the keycode wasn't bad at all. Vendor should be here next week to do the setup for us.
Thanks! Our vendor announced about 3 months ago they would no longer be supporting any Norstar systems and suggested we move to IP Office. Not in the budget yet. I'll probably be calling a few other local companies to see if they can get this setup for us, and the new company will probably get...
Have a MICS with a Call Pilot 100 currently used for voicemail only.
Is it possible to setup a simple call queue?
We have employees calling in that need to speak with a dispatcher, but if the dispatcher is on the phone with an outside customer we would rather just have them queue up and wait...

We use one of these in our small ambulance dispatch office. Works great and is self contained. We have it in a DVR lockbox so only management can touch the power button. We have tapped the handset/headset audio, but you can also tap the lines.
Citel also makes IP gateways and extenders that work with Norstar. Might be a more cost effective option if there is an existing LAN or WAN between the locations.
If you want to go the eBay route you would need this

I've ordered from Key Phones Direct before, however always call them, they usually will give you a better...
I agree with the DLI solution that donb01 suggested, we use two of the MLI-4000Ns for 6 handsets/headsets and 2 backup POTS lines. We had a Nortel MICS and recently upgraded to Polycom IP phones on a Cudatel server. Tapping the handset connection has worked great in both cases.
We also looked...
On the Panasonic cordless phones you just push the flash button when you are setting up the speed dial and it shows up as an "F".
I've never used the Plantronics CT14 though.
Agree with @hawks, get the ATA and use a regular analog cordless. Compare the cost of replacing the T7406 or T7406e with a regular cordless phone.
We use a Panasonic and have programed speed dials on the phone for the frequently used functions (park, page, transfer).
An easier option might be speaking with your telecom provider. They might have the ability to do "find me follow me" with the DIDs.
We use the Citel extenders for a few remote offices, but they can get pricey fast.
What PBX do you have? We use a Citel IP Gateway with our Norstar MICS for 2 remote workers. Works great once it's all setup. We use the smalest one (IP 4100 Gateway and Extender), but they also have larger models.
We use a Citel 4100 setup (Gateway and EXTender) for a small remote office. We have a T1 at the main office and a cable modem at the remote site. We also have a POTS line at the remote site (it connects to the EXTender) for 911 and internet outages.
It works out after you get it setup, but it...
OK, here's what you need to do. Actually pretty simple.
1) Turn off set relocation. Get out of the config menu.
2) Swap the sets.
3) Turn on set relocation.
4) You'll probably have to shift lines around and program features on each set to match the button layout you want.
Key point, you can...
*71 is usually conditional forwarding, usually busy/no answer to send to a cell phone. You would still use *73 to cancel it though.
I guess whatever telco they used could have a non-standard setup and use *71 and *72 in place of *72/72# and *73/73#.
Should've added, we chose the 4100 over the 4000 for two reasons.
1) The analog port. We were having a POTS line installed for a fax anyways, and I wanted to give the user phone service even if the internet service was down. Also liked having a true 911 service instead of having to give the...
There was an option for Norstar during setup and according to this link they are compatible: http://www.citel.com/Products/Resources/PIBs/4100_handsets.asp
FWIW I tried calling Citel today and was told all of their techs were out of the office, I will try again tomorrow.
We have QoS set to the...
