Is the message "CAN'T STAT THE FILE SYSTEM" not the cause of a read only filesystem? When you try to remount the filesystem which is indicted to be fsck'd you might be able to fix the filesystem. The A1000 is a strange one in the Sun storages. It is a hardware raid but you need the rm6 software installed on the connected server to get it working. Yes, on the right it holds some led's on the left, under the cover, you will see an id switch. But now thinking of it I am not quit shure if this will solve your problem because you have connected them a two complete seperate boxes. But you can give it a try.- Willemvrm

bfitzmai is correct about the hardware path differences. But if both the internal and external disks are already boot disks you can do the following and do not need to touch the data on the disks: 1. switch the disk (ofcourse you need a correct scsi card) 2. Hi Marrow, I guess that you see the errors at an interval of 12 hours is because the memory scrubbers runs every 12 hours. Manage T3
No software needed on the host, just telnet to the t3 to manage, or connect to the serial port. Don't use an external volume manager to mirror/stripe luns from the t3. Let the hardware raid controller do this for you, else you have bought this expensive hardware for nothing. Mirroring 2 brick's... -
FTPing to T3+ from Windows? Firmware upgrade
Maybe you already tried this but in case you did not. As far as I know you can only ftp from the t3 not to the t3. So start the ftp session on the t3 and do a get <filename>
