All non .pdf jobs print ok. It gives this error printing to an hp lj400n and an hp lj8550dn. As far as we can see it is sending to one printer or another. I never saw anything about distiller. Thanks, Shtick

Look for a tray icon for INcd. We've had that same problem with that software locking the cd rom trays. Take all references of that software out of your systems startup sections of the registry. /hkeylm/soft/micros/windows/current version/run.... Hope this helps

Quest, Power off and disconnect it from the computer. See if you can print a test page. Check all settings for the printer in the driver's setup window. Hope this helps. Shtick

You can try downgrading the driver to a LJ4 and see if anything changes. I'd also disable any windows print spooling (print directly to printer). What error messages, if any, do you get from the pc's that can't print to it? Clearing out spooled jobs from those pc's might also help. Shtick

Arugg, I'd experiment with different drivers such as pcl5, 6, or postscript to see if you can change the symptoms by changing the driver. I'd also see if the problem persists while connected locally to a pc. Hope this helps. Shtick
