Hello cannothandle,
I would suggest you to enable the WEP on both the router and the card to 64 Hex.
Change the SSID and channel to 11.
If you are using G router, set the transmission rate to 11 instead of auto.
This should solve your problem.
Check IP Address, should be running in the same segment: 192.168.1.X
No proxy settings:
IE>Select Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Setting>Uncheck Everything
Make sure also that you have no firewalls installed in your computer...
Linksys has BEFCMUH4, a cable modem/router which has 4 ports available and a HPNA port on it. Nevertheless; I wouldn't recommend you using such modem/router because it would increase the chances of failure. I would recommend what your isp would be using on their connection network.
Well assign an IP Address of 192.168.1.XXX; any number as long as it does not exist over the network. The router by default has 192.168.1.1 and DHCP assigned IPs are 192.168.1.100-149, therefore, you could assign IPs from 192.168.1.2-99 and 192.168.1.150-254. 192.168.1.255 is a broadcast IP...
CDTrader,
Please give more info regarding your network like what is the network configuration. How many wireless computers? What is your operating system? What is the model of the network card? What is the model of your access point? Any error messages if there is any? Are you running...
TDIQ,
I would recommend the same manner. Having this configurations:
[Remote Users]---(Internet)---[BEFVP41]---[Server & Computer]
(VPN Connection)
For you to remote access the Win2000 Server you would like to look for this site...
Danica,
Yes it would work! just make sure that:
Ports (1 & 2)
[Linksys]----------------[HUB]----------------[Dlink]
Uplink to Regular Regular to Uplink
Make sure that it is Uplink to regular connection from one device to another. If you would be connecting...
finfan13,
Hello there! you could request Linksys to email you drivers.
Email: support@linksys.com
Phone: 1800-326-7114
Or refer to bcastner's ftp site.
Thanks
Why prefer 1 or 11:
In telecommunications there are actually two standards: one is known as standard by jurisdiction and standard set internationally. 802.11b is an IEEE standard set internationally. Meaning that there are lots of frequencies using that spectrum, even wireless phone uses...
...purposes)
Select LAN:
Change the IP Address to: 192.168.1.2 (By default the IP Address of the linksys router is set to 192.168.1.1 **Note: if you've change the IP Address already on the linksys router to a different IP Address change it to it same segment like 10.10.10.XXX). Be...
bcastner,
Well with all due apologies, the gentleman didn't mentioned using WinXp in any of the problem. Better correct me if he has mentioned in the earlier statement.
What I have given is my opinion in using different operating system and different options. Please let us not be conclusive...
Dreddnews,
Hi there! I would agree with Bcastner's suggestion in changing the channel to either 11 or 1 and also the SSID; nevertherless, the link provided is "VERY" inappropriate since it happens to both computer and PS2. Besides if your running different operating system try using...
Kewlmoo,
Hello! Well seems you've done almost everything! Bcastner was correct, well here is what you could try doing also. Try changing the LAN IP Address of the router to 10.10.10.1 and hard coding the DNS coming from your ISP into the DHCP tab of the router. Disadvantage of setting a...
Hello Evolutionary,
You mentioned being disconnected, is it like not picking an IP Address or was it losing signal coming from the router?
If you're losing signal, set also the card on the same channel but there are some WinXp that doesn't have channel on it and only RTS and Fragmentation...
...DMZ Host if forwarding didn't work, which it'll be under Advance tab.
If you're running wireless you could tweak settings on the MTU of the card, just refer to this site to download Dr.TCP http:\\www.broadbandreports.com and go to tools.
** NOTE: BEFW11S4 is only capable of Ipsec Passthrough**
You could also tweak settings on the WUSB11.
Try changing RTS Threshold and Fragmentation Threshold to 2304 on the client side, or change the channels as what Bcastner suggested.
