Why have centrex and a phone system in the first place???"
I am not to sure why you asked that question.......
I just want to take advantage of the "local link" the telco provides as a service to allow calls to be transfered back out the same line it came in on. You have to use a "flash" to...
Judging by the lack of responses no one can say that this can or cannot be done. My Avaya support still hasn't gotten back (over a month now) to me either so I am turning here for the help.
Could someone please provide me with a short code for a hook flash centrex transfer.
I have asked about this senario before in regards to VM Pro but I want to try something.
So my short code is 801. I need to know what to set so I can have a hook flash to on a centrex line, then dial...
I find it hard to offer advice with this scenario’s personally because I am not that experienced as well there are so many variables to consider.
I had to set something up very similar and I would check your short codes. I may be completely off here but it sounds like to me the button / short...
Judging that no one has any other comments to this the Avaya.....IPO doesn't not handle a "link" feature to take a caller and transfer them back out on the same line the call is on to another number and off the switch?
Well I sort of have a direction to take but can't believe this is the way to do it.....

Does anyone know if there is an alternative to this method. I can't believe you can't simply prefix the hook flash short code and have it work. I am...
I have an odd situation that I need some direction on. I have set up a short code (801) that is set to dial and outside number. I created a route in the VM Pro that directs the caller to that number.
From what i can tell if it comes in one line 1 for this example and the voicemail routes the...
Ok it's a blind then I beleive. I thought back to it and it's transfering blind. I will try agian the 7312 and see what happens. Thanks for the help. I will let you know what happens.
cwc3 I tried 7312 same result. However, am I not setting BSS when I program 7311 on the set? Is that not doing the exact same thing as if I went into the programming and selected the main extension to enable call waiting using BSS.
Perhaps your other comment is the issue. How could I tell if a...
Oh wait I tried that....same result. Just realized what you instructed me to do. The programming reflected the change BSS for that extension as well.
As I mentioned I think the system thinks an extension is transfering / calling so it looks for the "1" to be pushed.
Ok guys here we go.... I have a 1232 with a DISA card that answers all the incoming calls. I have turned on BSS for the main extension however the tone does not go through. I am assuming it is because the DISA is being treated as an extension passing the caller from itself to the main extension...
I have a similar situation at a site that I am going to try this at. It's not a Nextel client but someone who forwards calls to and answering service that I think is causing a similar situation. Thanks for the follow up!
That is really hard to do since this system can be setup SO many ways and behave differently. Just spend the time showing them how to use their custom setup that you finished.
Or hand them the manuals and say figure it out yourself ;)
