I too have done lots of Nortel T-1 and PRI's. So trust me when I say I have never seen anything easier to configure than IP Office when it comes to PRI. If the inbound isn't work then the settings are wrong. Have you verified you are getting the right digits?
you might need to change your inbound type to wink as well.
curious as to why you didn't convert them to PRI at the same time you upgraded them? Then they could have gotten the caller ID features.
How do I display the second incoming caller ID while on an active call? I tried programming a caller ID inspect and also using the down arrow, but no luck.
Using 8.1, with 1416 telephones.
I am installing a 4 port Multitech fax finder on an IP Office. I have 4 incoming DID fax numbers. While I understand that i can assign 1 port to each of the fax numbers, I would ultimately like to just send all faxes to a hunt group where it can just get answered by the first available fax port...
Yes. that is what the local IT guy requested. Public IP of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx pointing to local IP of 192.168.0.40:8444.
Then he is having a server name point to the public IP.
My apologies for not being a full fledged network guru, but it is my understanding that you will only be able to access...
We are basically implementing our first large one X Portal install. I have some basic questions I hope someone can help with. I think I have read too much already and I just need some clarification on a few points.
one-X is working in house just fine, although it does seem to be a bit of a hog...
I changed the default numbering plan to 4 digit, so I changed the extension numbers to 4100, 4101, etc.. and created new users at 4100, 4101, etc. The only extension that appears to work is 4100. It is port BP 1-7.
I suppose I could try logging it in using a butt set.
I did reboot the system.
Just installed a new Avaya IP Office 8.1 with a combo card and and phone 8 card. Its part of a SCN. Everthing seems to work except I cannot get any of the analog extensions on the phone 8 to register to a user. I can get dial tone and even call another extension, but it comes up as NoUser. I...
Can someone confirm this for me.. The only way to pass originating caller ID to a phone offsite is by twinning right? There is not a setup that would allow a user to forward their extension directly their cell phone and see the original calling party's CLID?
I got it.. When I first set this up..the tech support guys told me to put this short code in the ARS..
It appears it needs to be added to the actual short code list in order to work, not the ARS..
Now..my question is...do I need to remove the SC listing of 9N ?
here is the trace.... I called out from x464
4/19/12 12:00:19 PM-233ms Line = 9, Seized, Channel ID = 22, Call Ref = 98
4/19/12 12:00:19 PM-235ms Line = 9, Channel = 22, Q.931 Message = Setup, Call Ref = 98, Direction = From Switch, Calling Party Number = 464, Called Party Number =...
Century link just informed me that they only override and put in the main number if they see nothing from us as far as CLI..
They monitored the circuit and said the first call they saw was simply sending the extension number...464, in our test case.
Then I put the following string in the ARS...
Anything I try to build in the SC doesnt work.. not sure what the phone company is looking for... talking to them right now..
As far as the SC card..can I pull that will the system is running..
Sorry about lumping three issues into one. I am having just a couple of things going on with our latest IP Office running R8.
If we put nothing in the ARS... and we build DID incoming routes, they system automatically send the extension number. So I added the string to the ARS table so all...
When you changed the IP address on the IPO, did it reboot? I haven't tried it, but I could have sworn that changing the IP address on anything forces a reboot.
