Yes that makes sense and routinely call events from other sims. However calling the db status and keeping those variables saved seems to be my problem. Even when using the RetainGlobalVar command. Getting as basic as possible… with one sim that only has the database connection info in it and...
Has anyone separated the database connection call to its own sim? I have several sims that connect to db and although most are small enough to encrypt, a couple aren't and was hoping for a single sim for that.
Do you have any sim interfaces that have the interface type enabled(tcp or rs-232)? I would get this error if the type was set to tcp and the interface tcp server name was missing. If you don't see any other error maybe that sim does not need the type enabled.
If you have stores in states where the overtime levels are different, How is this being handled for a single job code? EM, custom app, third party app?
example:
Job code: 1
Overtime levels:
1 - (OT after 40hrs week) most states
2 - (OT after 8hrs per day & 40hrs week) like CA, NV, ...
It appears that by moving the last 5 lines of my code to a separate event and then adding the function to display touchscreen, the desired screen is now displayed... Order maybe backwards - more testing... Thanks for the responses guys.

Thanks @hosehead78 for the response. I'm very familiar with creating touchscreens(EM) and have tried calling the desired touchscreen (as also noted above by Bogg3r) but doesn't change screen. Since it didn't seem to have any affect that line was not included in code above. I haven't needed to...
The event is included below. I have tried adding the display touchscreen function but didn't help. Is it how I have event formatted? Do I need to separate into additional subs? Also tried suggestions from previous posts of calling this as an event or sub from another inq event...
For those with sim experience, I have a problem transitioning to the “next” touchscreen after the event has completed. The task was to consolidate the pickup check process. We have both active checks and future order checks and Micros separates the pickup check functionality based on the...
For those with Micros v5.2 - have you seen this error when printing reports "Exception ESOAPHTTPException in module ReportPlugInAdapter.dll at 00076662". When I Preview no error but page is blank. This is for stock or custom reports.
How is the payment being handled? Cash in the till? If you use standard service charge it wont add to sales (just to revenue -like a tip) but make sure not to link or post to tips or taxed. (on svc form) Ok for revenue as you need to offset the method of how the donation is being paid...cash...
Jon,
Until Micros gets you a solution...:) Do you have buttons for System or Cashier reports for your managers? Both would indicate current business date(s) if date range in the autosequence step is set to "Today" or "Inherit". ...And can they make an informed decision from that...
Is the...
FYI, I also added a line to the setup.dat to remove backlight control. As an alternative you could increase the Backlight timeout to prevent screen from going black after x minutes. (I got unnessisary calls that terminal was down...Because screen was black.)

Looks like you still need to declare variables t1 - t6 (var T1 : a32 ). Also assuming you are referencing the sim event on one of the trailer descriptor lines(@@est_tip_amt) and the sim is named pms###.isl
Does anyone have experience with directing/re-directing print jobs to a specific printer device within a sim?
The project is to have orders alternate between two KDS controllers when a specific condition exists. Each controller serves an area that is identical to the other and when volume or...
JazzBeatles - are you referring to the Micros "Enterprise Manager"? If so, its main function is to deploy (or package) changes made on a central db for active/EM licensed stores. Files can then be parked(FTP) on the store server and an autosequence could run(scheduled or with Manual EOD) the...
