For those who have had a successful install, are you able to connect to DBISQL or SCJVIEW by just entering user ID and password?

I believe there were some connection string changes from the command line for 5.0, the following is from the Gen2 Prereq notes:

Previous Sybase 11 Syntax:
connect support identified by support
New Sybase 16 Syntax:
connect USING 'DSN=micros;UID=support;PWD=support'

I had to put similar changes in for scripts to work properly in 5.0, seems to be backward-compatible with 4.x versions.

If you're opening them up as a user interface you have to select the Micros ODBC connection. In Res 4.x this was only necessary if you were connected through remote desktop.

Thanks pmegan & DJ, both responses helpful!
