I had a similar problem a while back with the same release, different switches. The phone would just freeze up and a reboot brought it back. Bring it down to v2.3.0 - that fixed it for me.

Thanks Peter - Just used this as a guide, and instead of modifying the file I just renamed the server's FQDN settings to match the public DNS record. One place and nothing to maintain :)
