Changing One-X portal servername in 2

I have a question.

I have installed the One-X portal on a customers site using a virtual server. FQDN = app08.customer.lan

The customer has a DNS ( one-x-portal.customer.nl ) so that the One-X is reachable from the outside.

They want to use this for the One-X mobile prererred.

Now, when I do send the mobility email to the user, after installation of the One-X mobile app the FQDN is used as the Server -ID.

Of cause the server is not reachable then..

Is there anyway that I can change the server ID in the email, so that the server ID is set to one-x-portal.customer.nl instead of the FQDN.

Changing the servername itself is a bit difficult since it is nog my server..

Tnx

The DNS name must be the FQDN name.
I have the same problem in our office :)

On the server itself.
But i think i am misunderstood:

I have installed the One-X portal on a customers site using a virtual server. FQDN = app08.customer.lan

The customer has a DNS ( one-x-portal.customer.nl ) so that the One-X is reachable from the outside.
FQDN = app08.customer.lan
DNS = one-x-portal.customer.nl

FQDN should be the .nl
DNS should be the same

Only this way the email send will give the correct credentials in the app.
Somehow i think it is a bug where the email should contain the FQDN and not the DNS name of the server as this can be different.

When it is not possible to change the DNS name then you need to manually change it on the phones.

To bad that there is no way that I can change the email. That would solve my problem...

You actually can:

Code:

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
    <title>Uw Avaya IP Office one-X® Mobile-extensie staat voor u klaar!</title>

		.event_headline a {color: #333333; text-decoration:underline;}
		.event_headline a:hover {color: #CC0000;}
		.event_headline {font-size: 14px; font-family: Verdana; color: #333333; font-weight: bold;}

Go to the links for Android or iPhone and find the utm_source part.
Then change the $x part
iPhone has $3 and Android has $6

This is the server ID
I can add the password too which is UTM_content
The username is UTM_campain

I tried but it keeps adding the "koppeling" part.

BAZINGA!

This way you need to manually configure it so it is not the best solution to be honest.
You can find this in the primary folder and then email -> template_nld

To add again, i did not try it to change it on the IPO.
I just send the lot by email so perhaps only changing the $3 and $6 part and then put it back on the SD card could work!

Last time Okkie but i found the solution.
You just need to change the $3 and$6 value's to the FQDN (or DNS, which one is wrong) and then copy the file to the SD card or server edition.
Then send the email and it works like a charm.

So I replace the $6 for the fqdn?

Or is het something like $6%onexportal.cuntomer.nl

You need to replace $6 (and $3 for the iPhone)

It uses the links to the app stores of both the Android and iPhone app stores.
In the link they add the information needed in the app.

$3 and $6 mean the server ID which must be the FQDN
If you enter it manually it will not be overwritten by the $3 or $6 value.

It seems to work. And it would have worked if I didn't mistype the FQDN..

Now I see one-x-potal.customer.nl instead of one-x-portal.customer.nl

But this can be solved..

Peter.. Thanks Thanks Thanks.. next time I'll buy you a beer....

Enjoy the weekend. go home and tell the boss that Oscar gave you permission to go...

:)

You forgot about the fact that I do not work at Friday :)

I have it solved for our own company too.

In that case I'm even more grateful...

Helping me out on your day off...

Next time I 'll buy you a pizza too...

Chrs,

Oscar

:)

It was a nice challenge which was on my to do list as i knew that there was a template file.
As you know i work for a reseller now so i have much less time then when i worked for a distri.
So i had some spare time today and i used it usefully.

Okay,

Now my next challenge..

Andriods are working fine, but I Phones won't connect. Keeps saying 'connection refused'

I 'll guess I'm gonna have a pizza this evening too..

Did it put the correct FQDN in?
I did not try it on an iPhone but it has less characters in the link.

Check the original template file and see what happens.
You do know that the locale has influence on which template is used? so if you have a user with the different locale set then it uses the template for that locale.

The servername is correct. I think I forget to put the FQDN in the XMPP field on the One-x Portal server.

Thanks Peter - Just used this as a guide, and instead of modifying the file I just renamed the server's FQDN settings to match the public DNS record. One place and nothing to maintain :)
