Double check your group policies. There is a policy inplace that is keeping the TS from working. Are you trying to RDP with the servers administrators account?
Look under the Terminal Services Profile Tab under the domain account that you are trying to RDP with. Make sure the check box ALLOW LOGON TO TERMINAL SERVER is checked. If its not checked, check it and try to RDP again
Hope that Help!

There is definately something with the restricted account keeping this user from logging in using TS. Double check your group policies and groups to see if something is disabling his TS profile. Does it work if he is added under the Administrator group?
Right Click My Computer - Properties - REMOTE TAB. Has the user been added to this box. I understand the other steps that you have done... But if the user is not part of the Administrators group, then he needs to be added to this box. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=289289

Has the users account been added to the remote section under My Computer? If this user has not been added to the Administrators account, or if there are under a restricted account, the domain user account will have to be added with this section.

Make sure the terminal server login box is checked. AD users and computers - find the users profile. Under the users profile click on the Terminal Services Profile Tab. At the bottom there should be a box labeled "allow logon to terminal server. Is that checked? If not, check it and it...

I have a client that just switched ISP's. I built there network with the first ISP's equipment (cisco 1700 router with a 24 port switch). When they changed ISP's they had to replace the equipment with the new ISP's DSL modem/router (actiontek) and an old 24 port hub. Here is where it gets...

I've checked and double check my exchange 2000 server and could not come up with any answer to this issue. About a week ago the organization that I support started to get emails from address that had the domain extension but had a fake or spoofed id, ex; jennifer@mydomain.com Our naming...
Could you elaborate a bit more on your network. Is it a domain setup? Are you using romain profile? You didnt post if you tried renaming the profile from C:\documents and settings. What happens when you try that? I usually dont manage profiles from the system-advanced-user profiles when...
It sounds like you might have used the "fast user switch" to log in as administrator. Whats your profile name? This is what I do to rebuild the profile. First, if you are using the fast user switch, disable the feature (control panel - user accounts - uncheck fast user switch). REBOOT the...
I say this issue with a 2kServer box that had CA running on it. There was a configuration within the CA anti-virus that some how got activated. It was the quarantine. At first thought you would think that "quarantine" was to hinder the suspected virus from contaminating the server. What that...
I think I have seen this before.... before I speak too soon, what Anti-Virus are you running? If wouldn't happen to be CA (computer associates) would it??
