We are trying to upgrade our exchange system manger to sp2 how ever when we try we get this error:

We are looking into getting VM ware to replace 4 servers. Has anyone had success with this product and is it easy to maintain? What is best installed on IBM? Dell? Other?
Kill the following programs in task manager:
RDS.exe
carunjob.exe
then you could turn off all the engines and delete the .qsd folder and restart the engines and resubmit the jobs.
We are having a problem trying to back up our FTP server via Arc Serve throught a firewall in the DMZ. Can we map a drive on a local machine in our network and then have Arc Serve Back it up from there?
Check your hard drive space. Exchange will trunkcate all of the body if it has no more room for log files on the harddrive. This happened to us 2 months ago.
To be able to unblock certain files you would have to load a form into exchange.

Yes. This just happened to us 2 days ago and had to contact MS for support. This will reset all the settings from exchange. All you would have to do is turn back on Forms based Authentication if you use it.

It is possible. You have to create the user with the SAME user name then go to exchange system manager, go to the mail box store where the user mail box is and right click it, one option is to reconnect. Thus it will remember the old user name and if it sees the same user name it will reconnect...

Your clients are probably using exchanged cached mode. Go to a users outlook click tools>email accounts>view or change exsisting email accounts, next>highlight microsoft exchange server and click change. Uncheck the cached mode box. Close and restart outlook and see if you see the new user in...
We are having a problem with users GAL not updating the list with new users. When we are in cached mode they dont see the new users, when we undo the cached mode we see everyone. However with cached mode you need that for junk mail safe senders list right?
