I may as well chime in here since this is exactly what I do with my two MF1.8 servers. The only "script" I wrote was a simple batch file I called reboot.bat. It consists of "shutdown /reboot". Then I use the scheduler that comes with Internet Explorer 5/5.5 (which I...
Actually, those did indeed confuse me further... HOWEVER! It brought me down the correct path. Just for future reference for those out there, the correct article for me in this case was Q248791 titled: "XCLN: Send To from Office 97 Application Doesn't Work on Windows Terminal Server"...
Another one, I just can't figure out. I have outlook 98 on my terminal servers as well as the full Office 97 suite. I've set up a profile for my outlook for myself but when I try to "send to" from Word or Excel, it doesn't recognize the profile I set up so I have to create a new one...
I'll admit this is a newbie question but my arena hasn't been on the NT side of things but since I've been branded the Citrix guy here, they're asking me what seems to be a basic question:
How does one set up a user to log into their NT4WS box and automatically have the citrix client "take...
I got it to work! What I did was first download the latest client. Per directions, I used a command (I can't find it now, of course) which tells it where to unpack (for lack of a better word) the three disk subdirectories for you to update from. I unpacked them off a folder I called...
Obviously theres a way to set idle timeouts for everyone attached to the server but my admin is asking if theres a way to set the timeout to a user or group level. I thought that was a really good question so I'm asking here.

Well of course now I'm having the same exact problem!
I did what the above posters said to do, that is,
to put all the contents of the three disks folders into
one folder and use the ICA Client Update Configuration
to find the update.ini thats associated with the newer
client version. Alas, my...
Thank you for your reply. I've been snooping around and I've come to the conclusion that its my client thats the problem. I've tried reinstalling with a newer client and the problem still comes up. I'm thinking of removing it completely first next time and then reinstalling.
I have, however...
A weird thing is begining to happen to a few users, including myself! (First off: MF1.8-SP2/FR1, NTTS4-SP6)
I'll open a session and then for apparantly no reason,
I'll get knocked out with this error:
Error in connection.
[Error 1030: Protocol Driver error]
This isn't happening to everyone...
The way this story ends up is that yes, we deleted that user from the NT Domain Security and recreated him. After that no whammies for that user.
Thanks everyone.
Scott
Actually, I had a weird problem doing exactly that, but as we were troubleshooting the problem went away so I don't know if it was the exact cause of it. You see, we typically load any computer/server with PCAnywhere and our new TS/Metaframe server was no exception. Then the computer would...
Actually, I have a 2nd part of this problem that I just discovered. When I try to log into the actual Citrix server as that person, I get a BSOD.
This is getting weirder and weirder. Any takers?
Scott
Got a major odd problem here. But before that, we've got 2 MF 1.8 SP1 on NT TS4 SP6, load balanced and using a published application. Problem is: We have one (very important) user who just can't log into the application. Or for that matter, he can't log into a normal citrix desktop session...

After I installed internal DNS server no one was able to access to our live web site. But from any other location everyone was able to access.<br>

Cause: internal domain name for the location was same as the live web site's domain name. Like web site...
