Looking on how to create a rule or script to use with CCE V4.0
We need it to do two things
1 - launch a URL (which I found easy to do by creating a rule)
2 - append the caller ID and DNIS code to the url string
So far I have created a rule that will launch a URL but I need help writing the...
We are about to sign a contract to upgrade our AVAYA G3siv11.3
The upgrade would include the 8510 server with current release & CCE for the call center & reporting solution.
One major hurdle is the amount of measurable VDN numbers. Currently we are using BCMS that measures 99.
Does anyone have...
We had a static issue on our PBX a few years back. after doing all the normal troubleshooting techniques, I found someone had plugged in an extension cord and left it hanging across some of the T-1 lines. All this was hidden under the floor so not easy to spot. Unplugged the cord, static went...
we use g3-siv11 but I think is that trunking parameters would still apply even on newer applications:
here is what I sent to my team members so they would understand. I also found that this can be changed but not recommended
Transfer parameters:
Incoming call > you can transfer, inside or...
If you still have an issue with the volume:
Pick up an integrated audio amplifier at radio shack.
Plug your audio source into the amp & wire the amp to an aux or analog port. Adjust as needed. Works like a champ.
If you have a specific phone number assigned for this particular case, then assign specific DNIS id via the provider. Assign that same DNIS code to a VDN or Extension.
This works with our set up. Best regards!
Sorry Typo above > it should read go to step 3
Check this one out - we have 458 toll-free numbers & use DNIS ID - VDN - vectoring to route our calls. Along this path we have Vector routing tables set up to block idiot or nuisance callers based off ani-delivery.
We started getting multiple &...
If you decide to use VDN's & Vectoring to route the calls you can do this pretty easy & it will block the non-ani delivery calls.
Set up the vector like this:
1. goto step 10 if ani = none
2. goto vector X if Unconditionally
3. Busy
You could use various commands on line 3.
Otherwise...
Thanks & Good information, we do have hundreds of numbers to port over. We have 9 T-1's to the PBX and 1 internet T1.
TWTC has the Ethernet Internet service; which is a big factor in considering their service. Also, we are located in a building directly on their fiber optics network, with a...
I like the suggestion of multi-providers but the company is not really open to using two or more carriers. I do plan to try to sell the idea but it is not likely to fly around here.
We understand the risk of having a single provider. My goal at this point is to find feedback specific to TWTC...
We have a 150 seat call center, AVAYA G3SI v11.3, 7-T1 voice DS1's, 2 ISDN's. . Currently we have 450 dedicated toll-free inbound numbers & a small outbound team on a predictive dialer. It is time to review our contract with our voice service provider. We are looking at Time Warner Telecom as a...
simreal has the right answer
Message manager does the trick. I just did this with a voice mail left to an ex-employee. Save the message as a wav file via message manager and then email it to the second party...
Maybe look into setting up remote dial access. You could use a DID & a barrier code, a COR, an expiration date.
We would not set it up here but it would be tempting to set it up & not tell anyone. Then, when the time was right; call in and say your piece. I would never do it but just think of...
Kinda primitive but without message manager I think your options are limited. Use a cassette recorder & play the message via the phone into the recorder. Or plug in a mic to a PC and record the call to the PC. I guess it is obious I am old school - but that's just the way things are around here.
You might also contact your service provider and request the list of phone numbers on your account. That would be a good place to begin, then you can compare to the extensions, vdns, hunt groups, faxes, etc. We did a recent contact renewal with AT&T and that was part of the deal we didn't sign...
I would guess the errors you have are related to the PC rather than the ASA software version. Does the PC have enough available memory?
DO you have another PC running the same version that you could do a test run with scheduled reports. If it runs without crashing, save your ASA upgrade money...
Rgtrgt has the right idea - we run ASA on a seperate PC/Serve. ASA auto reports and ISI call accounting are the only two functions of this server. We schedule hundreds of reports that run at different intervals because we are just cheap and can't afford a reporting system. Anyway, we had issues...
DNIS is the coding that is delivered by your service provider when a call is received. We use 3-digit coding, but it could be other then 3. The VDN (Vector Directory Number) is what you assign in your system to distribute the calls. If the DNIS you receive from your carrier like AT&T or Sprint...
There are many sources out there for recording.
From my experience; none are cheap. As for the pricing, it depends on the number of agents or stations you plan to record - they get you with licensing fees.
OnviSource; Nice; VoiceLogger Inc
this one does third party hosting: voicelog.com
It...
The same thing happened here but lucky for me no one was around to witness. After several hours of pushing buttons I remember pressing a combination of 2 buttons that unlocked the terminal. It has been 4 or 5 years since then :) but if you have these buttons you might a combo:
