Saving an Intuity Audix voice mail message as a wave file

Hi, I heard that it is possible to save an Intuity Audix voice mail message as a wave file. I also heard there is a way to record the voice mail message on tape. I have someone who needs to do this. Can this be done? If so, how? This is off an Intuity Audix R5.1 voice mail system. Thanks.

You can do it with message manager. You have a choice to save the message as a .wav file to the PC. After that you can do anything you want with it.

We do not have message manager. Is there any other way?

Kinda primitive but without message manager I think your options are limited. Use a cassette recorder & play the message via the phone into the recorder. Or plug in a mic to a PC and record the call to the PC. I guess it is obious I am old school - but that's just the way things are around here.

If you are running IA R5.1 then you have message manager. You probably just dont have the CD. Log into the SSO site and down load your software. You paid for it when you bought the audix. You just need to go get it.

Start at support.avaya.com and find the download center. You will need a SSO login.

Look into Mutare (mutare.com). Mutare is a server based system that does notifications and delivery (as a wav file) of Audix messages via e-mail. Your Audix must have internet message activated to use this.

We have had it for about 6 months and the users love it, even though we are only using it for e-mail notifications of new voice-mails.

Take the feed off of a headset and feed it into your pc soundcard, record and save as a .wav file. I used Windows Sound Recorder, and made backups of all my announcements.
