I havn't had to do this for a while but we need to provide and maintain a new server to host the following and was hoping someone had some recommendations for make/ spec etc. We have no particular preference for servers other than parts availability and warranty etc.
The Mitel guidelines are OK...
I have done similar to this a long while ago and used the following as long as the calls are going on an external route :
The basics are to use "ARS route Plans" and "ARS Day and Time Zones"
Create 5 different routes with a digit modification for each of the routes (inserting mobile number)...
We have customer that is adding some MiVB systems to their existing cluster.
However these systems will be located in a Datacenter with a firewall in between.
The question is what ports are required on the firewall to enable this please as all I can find is port lists for MBG etc.
Thanks
We have a new 250 (6.3) installation where the SIP Trunks are provided onto a separate router which is not the gateway/router on the customers network. I'm sure we have had this before and somewhere on the 250 you configure this address so that it can route SIP calls this way.
For Example the...
In the Digit Mod Ass you appear to be absorbing the 1st 9 which is the "access" digit and then inserting another one with a tone plan ?
Try removing <T01>9 from this form and the correct digits should be sent to line.
DASS II will work fine on a T1/E1 card & RJ45/Coax Balun, we have a considerable amount working this way in the UK. In theory you should be able to set it up as the local exchange although not something I've done with a 3300.
We have a customer that currently has 2 MBG's
The first is in Server/Gateway mode and handles SIP and Teleworkers
The second is Server Only and handles SRC
This is all connected to a MXe on MCD7 currently although all systems are to be upgraded.
The customer wished to upograde the SRC MBG to...
Assuming they are all the same software version you will be able to use the disks. You should also have a copy of the licenses and password for each system as they are unique.
It is possible to make a new system/software disk from a running system if needed, although a non-redundant system will...
We've got a per cab working on MCD8, although i was concerned as it took a very long while to come in after the upgrade. Seems to have been OK since, approx 4 months.
We have a customer that currently has a 3300 with IP desk Phones.
They are looking to get Google integration for "presence" and also move to Micollab softphones and external hot desking.
The Google part is straightforward using the Mitel OIG server and deskphones. The part that gets a bit...
Just going back to basics, do you have the "Voice Mail Hospitality/PMS:=Yes" in the license form ? If you haven't (its not a default license) then I don't believe you will get the voicemail part of the PMS to work which sounds like the issue you are having.
We usually use a 3rd party voicemail...
We have a customer who is currently on CCM 5.7. They have configured a new server with the prerequisites for the latest Version 8. However as far as I can tell there is no upgrade direct to this level from 5.7.
has anyone done this and discovered the easiest process ?
I've just skimmed the...
You also do not indicate what "chassis" you have ? It may well say 512mb of ram, but could be incompatible with the newer software and may be the reason it is still on Version 9
Looks like that was just an alignment problem when I copied and pasted. Missed it when I did it
5.2 and 9.1 are the installed. The others are there for upgrading. Just want to ensure I do them in the right order or can I just go 9.4 and then 7.1 ?
Thanks
Below is the installed and available software to install on the MBG. Is there any specific order in which to process these as last time a colleague tried it on another site it all went wrong. I would much prefer to go to site and do a save and reinstall. However time is not on our side.
Mitel...
Are there any other reasons for using "tenants" such as Music On Hold, different Night Service etc ?
May be easier to just use the interconnect restriction if its just to stop groups of phones ringing others ?
If you want to see what the port is connected to at the time you should use the "resource" command (if it still works on the 3300 )
Resource 1 3 1 4 1
This will tell you the PLID that it is connected to.
Do you know which type of "analogue" interface the paging unit has ? I've seen paging systems that use both trunks and extensions (fxo & fxs)
If the paging unit is in the vicinity of the 5000 why not use one of the physical ports on the back if they are spare ?
