The lazy option was behind heaters.... the proper choice was conduit and pull boxes..... Crack may have been a factor.... RandyBear, spot on... will have to get those out. I am sure there is a NEC code too!
Hey guys, I have a client who had cabling installed, believe it or not, behind 4-5 electric baseboard 3-4' heaters, some of which may be 347v.... Not one or two, but a whole bundle.... I am going to recable because they have so many connection issues, but I have to write a letter for them to be...
That is usually echo on the T1 span itself, contact you carrier and tell them... In my area, the LEC has to usually put a T1 echo canceller card in at they're expense....
I actually use my unicycle usually so balance is a big issue...
Thanks for the responses guys, I will just yank the fiber lines and make sure that there are no routes defined of Lines provisioned to any sets....
Thanks again!
Well you'll need XC software for sure if you want that many digital stations, but as for the ASM modules, they are 8-port only, you'd burn through ALOT of ports on that. I'd do an IP BBX with a bunch of 24-port FXS gateways, or find me a nice Option 11....
Hey guys, really stupid question, especially concidering I have been working on theese things for 10 years, but I'v never had to do this....
What is the procedure to remove 2 12x0's off of a MICS system 4.1 with a PRI without trashing all of the programming. I yanked a fiber card once, and had...
Hey everyone, has anyone ever installed a smdr6 module on a BCM 400... I have a serial only application and the BCM IP only output is no help...
Thanks!
Hey fellas, turned out that the power supply was on it's last legs, I swapped it, and it came to life right away....
Thanks for the backup, sometimes you need to know that you haven't lost your mind completely!
I didn't think that the CP 100 used 2 pairs, It's a 4-Port right? The CP 150 is 8-Port with the 2-Pairs.... The Flash were 4-port as well with the expander, using the 2nd B-Channel......
I don't think I have ever given a CP 100 more than a single pair per port, due to the 2nd B-Channel.
Thoughts?
Hey everyone, just moved a client's CP 100 from the CICS ver 4.1 to a new MICS with a slightly used 6.1 non-xc software. Now, I will admit that I have put it on a different DN, and I am programming the MICS from sctatch, but the thing just wont come back up, doesn't show up in the maintenance...
Hey everyone, I am a bit of a merlin newbie.... I am working on a Release 3 processor with a bunch of MLX 10's and a single MLX 20. The problem is theat the MLX 20, ext 100, 1st port, doesn't offer me the ability to log into the system to make programming changes. I read in the manual that the...
Hi Everyone, I deparately need a copy of the bulletin that Nortel in regards to the bad capacitors on the man board of the BCM 200's and 400's, and the replacement.
My client is getting hosed by his last vendor, who didn't replace it under recall, and refuses to pay for the new board, even...
nstelco, check if your blocks have high resistance faults on them..... If your blocks have lowered loop current AFTER the blocks, that can trip ghost rings on any analog equipment (trunk/line imputs in this case). Take the reading on hook in series both befor and after the block. Loop current is...
Voltron1011, great article! but do you think the firewall could be put into the bridge group? or does the firewall require IP packets to be routed?
I may have to use a PIX 501 with Pix IOS 7.0+ to have ethe Layer 2 firewall.....hmmmm.....
Any Thoughts?
Thanks!
Hi!
I have a spare 1841 lying around...Is it possible to bridge the two interfaces together and use the firewall in between them for some basic filtering between a potentially malicious server that has to be on the same subnet as the rest of the LAN...eg
server NIC --->FE0/0 on 1841 -->...
hmmmm...i'll give that a shot, and I'll try some netgear managed switches...and maybe an unmanaged switch or two....
I'll post back with results.
Thanks!
The switch ports go from the 3750 to ProCurve 24-port fully managed L2 switches that have the Duplex and Speed hard coded from the CLI and verified with a Microtest LAN tester...so I think that's not an issue....
hmmmmm....i'm still perplexed...
Hey guys, thanks for the replys. Yeah, I did have some errors on the switch ports...but I did set everything to fixed full duplexe at a mix of 10 and 100mb..and the errors continued, so I tried crossover cables, same thing....I'll run Q-Check and see how many errors come up....
does VLAN...
