sinreal,
Thank you for the quick response. I have just checked and it looks like Audix is actually installed.
Here is a screen capture from cat /etc/ecs.conf | more:
DirectoryService yes
Audix yes
StandAloneMessaging no
AUDIXinstall yes
The Messaging Software is enabled through the server...
We have an s8510 with CM 5.2.1 currently installed and we would like to now fire up the CMM. During the installation of the new server, we thought that we installed the CMM software, but it doesn't appear to be completely installed. When I perform a statapp I see the Audix app there, but it...
I have a CM 5.2 s8730 with an assortment of remote G650 Port Networks and G700 media gateways at 15 different locations. Only a few of the remote locations have attendant consoles so the rest of the locations are being routed back to the console in Tenant 1 whenever anyone presses 0. I would...
I am looking to implement this solution, but have a question. Instead of having only one attendant like the example above, we have 2 attendants that share calls to the main number. Once we take away "0", how can we load balance the calls between these two attendants for incoming calls...
I have a Communication Manager 2.2 on an S8300/G700 with IA770 system that I had removed from the Gateway for seveal hours this evening while I attempted a migration to another server. The migration to the other server took several hours and we decided to just re-install the previous s8300 as...
You can still identify a TFTP server address during the configuration of the IP phone. You will place the 46xxsettings.txt file on the TFTP server.
Good Luck.
Does anyone have any info on installing a spare LSP pair of s8700 servers? I have a customer that currently has a pair of 8700's in one location and would like to install a backup pair in a remote location for LSP of the primary pair. I have searched support.avaya.com high and low and cannot...
Does anyone know of any other Definity Programming software other than ProVision? A few guys at my company use ProVision but it is too expensive and isn't really user friendly. I know about ASA and other emulation software tools but I am specifically interested in finding a program that has...
Can anyone tell me where to find documentation concerning the interaction of the components in an s8700 IP connect configuration? I have installed a few s8700's and understand how to program all the components (C-Lan, Med Pro, IPSI, s8700 servers, etc.). I guess what I really want to...
I have an LSP that is stacked with a total of 4 g700's and running off of an 8700. I have the LSP at the bottom of the stack and all of the stacking cables connected properly, I think. Shouldn't they then number themselves correctly from bottom to top (1-4)? In actuality my bottom g700 comes...
Anyone have any experience migrating from a prologix v9.5 to an IP connect s8700? We have been told by Avaya that there is no supported path as of now and that we would probably need to rebuild the entire switch!! I do have Provision at my dispense, but I'm wondering what kind of issues I may...
To adjust the dial delay time you can go into Manager, select system, telephony tab and decrease the Dial Delay Timer, default is 4000 you can decrease it here to your own specs. I have found that 1500 works OK.
Thanks for everyone's prompt responses, but I am referring to what equipment or software do I need to have for the definity to call. Do I need a PC with some kind of capture software? Then what happens when a definity calls the PC, does it leave an alarm code or does it just leave its product...
My company is a business partner w/ avaya and we offer our customers our own maintenance as opposed to Avaya Maintenance. Does anyone know what hardware we will need to have our maintenance paying customer's Definity switches call us rather than avaya? I have heard of other BP's doing it so...
I agree w/ BRMT, either IP office or Partner ACS. If they will be implementing a network infastructure at the same time then definately IP office. IP office, in my opinion, is fairly difficult to implement for someone without any training. Partner ACS on the other hand is very simple to...
You can enter the cost code information into the room field of each definity extension. I know this is still time consuming, however, you can set up ASA to import the info every night automatically for you via ASA export. I must say this is tedious but it is the only way that I am aware of.
I have also had experiences where I have to reboot the AUDIX for the time change to take place. So check the time after changing it and if it has not taken affect try rebooting(out of hours).
You can make a subscriber in AUDIX and on page 2 label it a bulletin board rather than call-answer. Now you can record your status of company for anyone to user hear without logging into AUDIX. The recording will hang up after a user listens to it.
