Apparently I have all of you stumped...
I have Dreamweaver 8 and my hard drive is in the freezer. Unless I can get the data off my hard drive then I am going to need to rebuild my dreamweaver 8 template from a child page.
Anyone have the faintest clue how to do this?
Jeff...
Believe it or not... it is a hobby that thousands of folks are extremely passionate about.

From an SEO Standpoint.. CSS rules.
I can use positioning to make sure my main content is always the first thing that spiders see regardless of where it "actually is in the structure of things.
My site at www.smoking-meat.com went from obscure to number 1 out of more than 2 million results...
My hard drive crashed and I lost all of my dreamweaver templates. I have downloaded my pages from the server that were made using the template.
How do I use one of the pages to rebuild my lost template(s)?

I have a spreadsheet containing Bills of Material with 6 columns and over 1000 rows of data. The data in columns A and B are duplicated down several rows since they are the parent item and description... the components, UM, and other data are in the other columns. Some bills have 3 components...
For some reason the new dreamweaver MX 2004 Does not carry the title on your template into your pages... and as if that is not crazy enough, you cannot edit the title tag from within your pages.
I heard there was some parameters you had to set up within the template.. anyone know anything about...
I have a column of numbers in Excel...some positive some negative. I just realized they are not summing right. If I remove all of the numbers except two where one is -1200 and the other one is 1200 it sums them as 1200 when in reality it is 0. Is there something I can do to get past this...
I have not been in here in a while... been extremely busy... anyway...
You cannot use the transform tool or the transform panel to change the size of your textbox... it will distort and skew the text.
You must double-click the text and drag the handle at the right to change the size of the box...
Actually there is a way... select the line tool then in the stroke panel set the stroke to Basic/Hard Line then set the texture to grid7 at 100%. This will draw a pretty decent dotted line. you can play around with some of the other textures and perhaps come up with something even better...
Anyone ever used these FlashTraks? I take it is just a .swf with a sound clip already in it...correct?
Is the sound on the main timeline where you could control with a simple addressing of the level it was loaded into on the host movie? ... you could always use levelX.StopAllSounds() I...
1. Supposedly 96-98% of users are flash compatible so you are dealing with a very minute problem if any.
2. If you publish with Flash Publish settings then the script will run a detection automatically and take them to the 15 sec download if they do not have the flash player installed already...
Perhaps it would be better loaded in as a separate swf. That is almost always how I do it. It just seems to work better for me that way. Load it into a level from the first frame and then load or unload with an on/off button. Regards,

is this for local use or online? If it is local then you will have to do as OLd has suggested and use the FSCommand but if it is for the web then it should be working. Regards,

Why not make a button for Windows Media Player and a button for QuickTime or whatever players you feel will be a possibility and let the user choose his preference. If anyone is like me... I use several different ones depending on the day and the application... might be nice having a choice...
I think they allow you to save their photos to your pc for "show & tell" with your client. It has a watermark but at least your clients can see a glimpse of what he is purchasing. He will most likely love it and be willing to fork out an extra $60 to $90 for great quality. Regards...

They will cost money but they are the best I have seen. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to images. There isn't much free stuff that has the quality I require both as a commercial web designer and as a natural born perfectionist;-) Regards,

It normally only makes 1 file and if I am not mistaken ...animated gifs only work online. You can open them in Fireworks and it will break it out into frames so you can edit them individually.
have you uploaded and tried it online yet? Regards,
