Best way to re-direct a site

You should check with the domain name registrar of the domain you wish to re-direct. Most such registrars allow you to redirect your domain to a different domain name. When you do this and when the DNS servers around the world get updated, then users who resolve the old domain name will be...

    Netscreen-5GT Disable Proxy ARP

I doubt this is due to proxy arp. What version of 5.4 are you running? I would recommend the latest which is 5.4.0r3a although 5.4.0r4 will be releasing very soon.

VPN Connectivity to NS25 Unstable (inc error logs)

Do you have VPN monitoring enabled on the firewall? It appears that you do. VPN monitoring is really meant for site-to-site VPNs between two Netscreen devices. It is not recommended for dial-up VPNs. Try disabling VPN monitoring and that should stabilize your VPNs.

    CLI error

Try this command instead: unset int untrust vip U.X.Y.Z port 80 Note that if in doubt use the help (?) feature. For instance since it choked on "80" try 'unset int untrust vip U.X.Y.Z ?' to see what options you have.

    Changing MIP

Goto Network > Interfaces. Click Edit for the interface where the MIP was configured. At the top of the page you will see options for properties: MIP.

    Netscreen RDP portmapping?

This is done with either a MIP or VIP. With a MIP it is possible to configure a 1 to 1 mapping so long as you have available public IPs to use for the public side. But if you only have a single public IP then you should configure a VIP to allow TCP ports 3389-3390. Check on the C&E guides for...

    Netscreen NS5XP PPTP pass-through?

Check Juniper's knowledgebase. Particularly look for KB5471.

    Dial-up VPN problem with Netscreen

Should check event log on the Netscreen for a clue as to why it cannot reconnect. For those instances where you are able to connect but cannot route I'd recommend running debug flow basic to determine what is happening with your vpn traffic.

Netscreen 5xp: Configuring Outlook Web Access on SBS 2003

You can download C&E guides here: http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/screenos/ Select the screenos version you have. For your needs look for information on NAT and VIPs.

VPN connection lost every 60 min

60 minutes sounds like it may be coinciding with phase2 lifetime. Try increasing lifetime in the P2 proposal and see if the issue coincides again with the new P2 lifetime. If so then that's where I would focus my troubleshooting.

    ARP Protocol on NetScreen25

Can you post configs? Remember to mask IP addresses.

Mobile Wirless Printing in the Office

This may depend on the printer, but for HP printers Windows should already have drivers available. You would simply have the printer available to share. Then you would map from your user PC to the printer. It should automatically load drivers. At least it does for me with my home setup...

    Periodical holo-cutouts in my WLAN

There are a number of reasons why a wireless connection could drop off. For instance for 802.11b/g which uses 2.4GHz range, there could be interference from other RF emitting products like 2.4GHz cordless phones, bluetooth devices, microwave ovens or other WL networks. I would first try using...

    Netscreen 5gt webui problem

Perhaps this is a socket issue. Login with console and run get socket and see if all your tcp sockets are in use (I believe the 5GT has 64 available sockets, but it could be less. If you see many sockets with state "closed" then this could indicate that sockets are not releasing. Rebooting...

    looking for a dsl router

I use a Juniper Netscreen NS5GT-WL-ADSL at home for my work needs. This unit not only functions as a router but it is a full-on firewall, IPsec support, has built-in ADSL port (works great with SBC Yahoo) and built-in wireless access point. With proper licensing you can use SurfControl web...

    IKE between SonicWall+Netscreen-25

Whichever side is the initiator and which is the responder depends on which side needs to send traffic first. If the tunnels are down you could initiate a ping or something from the Sonicwall side to initiate the tunnel from the Sonicwall side. Likewise you can either send traffic through or...

Grouped NetScreen's don't show logs properly

Not clear what you mean by group together as one logical device. Do you mean that you have the two Netscreens configured as an NSRP cluster? Regarding logging of traffic, this is done on a policy basis. So in order to log traffic you must enable it on policy. That also means if traffic is...

    IKE between SonicWall+Netscreen-25

It is always best to troubleshoot at the responder side of the VPN. It seems in your case the Netscreen may be the initiator. Can you try having the Sonicwall be the initiator and check your event log for clues as to why it is failing.
