unless he has acd+ nec wants you to have the refresh timer turned on for it which completely goes against their opinions dealing with their vm's! i normally turn the refresh timer to non unless i have acd+. when the system does it's reset it will also reset the vm card and could cause data...

you need the cosessions sotware to get into the vm. in every mailbox there is options for saved/archive messages (in days) you can adjust every mailbix to be the same or different. i wouldn't allow the archive to be too long as you've only got like 4 hours of storage total. i ususlly do 7 days...
