The non-secure link from Lawnboy's post works.
marvhuffaker, are you referring to the cert installed on the PCs that attempt to access the page? Using IE7 and Firefox, I've tried resetting SSL settings, adding it to trusted zones, etc.
goombawaho, conlog looks clean.
Some time ago, I discovered that the web interface for Novell Remote Mgr wasn't accessible anymore. It IS running and accessible from the server itself, but not from a web browser.
The address I'm using is correct (https://SERVER_NAME:8009/) but it just gives a "cannot display the webpage"...
You also should check to see if the print drivers you are using are PCL, as several programs, including Adobe have issues with PCL drivers. Try using a PS driver and see if there's an improvement.
Altavista's Babelfish has a page translator, should you want to try those sites again.

However, I agree you can probably find any spyware in the hijackthis logs.
I've sometimes been able to fix printing oddities by switching printer drivers. You mentioned that you've reinstalled the drivers, but you might want to try experimenting, or at least confirm that the "problem user" has the exact same drivers as the users who aren't having the issue.
One of our users has an intermittent issue while trying to login. After entering his username and pass and hitting enter, the login screen goes away for a fraction of a second--and comes right back! No errors or anything. I've unchecked the "run scripts" checkbox and also tried the "workstation...
I'm not sure when this started, but I noticed earlier in the Health Monitor that the Failed Logins Per Hour alert was tripped, and reviewing the log shows that a printer object (?) is listed as the User. I was working on this particular printer earlier today (flaky Jet Direct card, but that's...
I'm testing a dual screen setup with Lotus 123, and having some problems keeping the various popups on the side that I want. I've got it so the program itself appears on the screen I want, but the opening screen (where you can select a spreadsheet to open, etc) pops up on the other screen. Even...
Sounds like the same thing we ran into a while back. MS update KB911280 was the cause. We had to roll back this update, as well as replace the version of RASMANS.DLL it added.
@ CBL: Ah, should have figured I wasn't the first to find this site. I searched the forums, but not the FAQs.
@ crow053: Yeah, that's how I look at it, its good for filtering out the "normal" stuff from the more suspicious items. It still takes a reasonable amount of thought to determine if...
That turned out to be the culprit. I rechecked the box, and now the window stays there after the download completes. Can't explain how it got unchecked in the first place, though...
Its IE 6.0 SP1. I see there is an option in the Advanced menu called "notify when downloads complete", I'll have to check on that setting when I get home.
Some time ago, I noticed the status window that shows the download progress bar, rate, etc, would disappear after the download was complete.
I know this is not the default behavior, normally that window stays there, saying "download complete", allowing me to choose to "open" or "open folder"...
Have you tried using disk imaging software, such as Ghost? Even if large areas of your drive are corrupt, there is a change you can recover your files from the image, rather than directly from the drive.
Wierd. I stoppped and restarted the spooler service on the server. Had the affected users retry this, not getting any crashes anymore.
Thanks for having a look, tf1. =]
