    If you are hearing echo then the lines are too hot. If you are 5000 feet from the CO then try to reduce the gains in some other way. What about the 7208 phones? What release are they?     You set up the AA rings to answer to two rings to allow the caller ID to pass. Set up the prime set for each line to the receptionist DN and remove all ringing from each of the lines so you won't be bothered by any ringing before AA picks up.

    Can you ping the BCM? Could be a routing problem. But it sounds like like the hard drive has a problem booting. This should not be caused by a dip switch mis-configuration. Also you should plug into the RS232 interface on the front of the BCM to see if you are able to login using hyperterminal...
