Is there a way to have caller ID passed when someone dials an extension from the auto attendant? Right now, all that comes up in the display is Line001 transfer. Customer has a CICS w/ 2.0 software and CI trunk cards and a Flash with 1.7 software.

Line needs to ring 2 times since the CLID comes thru betewwn the first and second ring. Change the AA to ring twice on the lines.

I'm assuming that is the only way? Right now, they have the AA pick up right away because they don't want phones constantly ringing.

You set up the AA rings to answer to two rings to allow the caller ID to pass. Set up the prime set for each line to the receptionist DN and remove all ringing from each of the lines so you won't be bothered by any ringing before AA picks up.

Yes that is the only way to get the CLID to show and it is not the phone system it is the nature or analog lines and CLID just follow aragon advice and make the phones line assignment to appear only.

Thank you for the advice. My only other question is, when I assign the lines to appear only, I don't get the caller id option in the telco features part of the programming. What do I do about that?

that option only shows if the line is ringing on the set

since aa is getting the call it gets the clid info

when passed to ext the clid is passed as well (they will see clid before they pickup the call)
