If you're not aware already GW2012 SP1 was released recently. At a minimum you should install and see if your experience is improved. Sometimes things we find/report in Beta don't make it in first release, sometimes it takes a service pack or more.

Go to Tools --> Options --> Environment --> File Locations.. There is an option for Save, Checkout... It's probably blank, and that defaults I believe to the GroupWise temp directory. If you set it to say, my documents, it will use that as a starting point.
However, I would like to say...
Actually I don't want him to call me. I hate working with people that don't want to take their systems seriously. There's no money in it and they don't appreciate our expertise. (General assumption, I can't say whether that's the case here) It's just that someone that knows GroupWise can get in...
You could spend 3-4 hours with an experienced GroupWise consultant and likely get your system whipped back nicely into shape. You shouldn't have to deal with an unstable system. But you're also running a very old system, why not invest in your business a little so that you don't have to fight...
I disagree, I think this is a Datasync Issue. But you can't compare problems on your Droid/GroupWise/Datasync with Hotmail or Google.. It's not even close to being the same architecture.
DataSync is a fairly new product and I've seen quite a few problems on the Droid. However, I no longer...
I don't understand your statement "Since GW no longer seems to be supported seriously". How can you say that without laughing hysterically? What is your basis?
What is the OS that GroupWise is running on?
I see systems like yours all the time, usually with first time customers. Their...
I see the same behavior on Windows 7 to mapped drives all the time. but A) it's common with non-novell drives as well and B) nothing to do with GroupWise whatsoever. Usually once I click on the drive, even though it was red-x'd, once I hit it it's fine.

So... Can you confirm whether the problems are exclusive to Exchange 2007?
Also, in GroupWise, it's a system level setting, not a client setting. I don't know Exchange but want to believe that you would need to confirm at a system level that it is sending appointments correctly.

Are you referring to the Windows utility? This is running on VMware so that's not an option.. But I did boot with a Smartstart CD and went into the Smartarray utility but did not see any configurable options. I'll look again. Thanks.

Neill, I know what you're saying, i just can't even find a setting that allows me to change the read/write balance. I just can't believe that HP would even ship a server without a battery on the array.. I should have a battery in the next couple days and hopefully that will resolve the issue...
The GWIA handles incoming appointments and determines how to process them / either as a message or appointment. You have to have the iCAL option enabled. I don't believe it's enabled by default. That would be the best place to start. In consoleone, it's on the SMTP settings tab, the same...
Have 2 proliant DL380 G7's with P410i Array controllers and SAS hard drives in RAID 5. Running VmWare ESX 4.1 Update 1. There is a 256MB RAID Cache module installed. I just found out that there is no battery attached to the RAID and that because of this, I believe the acceleration on the...
On NetWare there were settings called Client file Caching and Level 2 oplocks. Turning these on (default setting) led to similar behaviors and problems, so I always turned them off completely.
On OES2 Linux, you have similar issues/options..The file is ncpserv.conf and you should review the...

I believe that you can also make sure the Post Office --> Security is only using LDAP, not EDIR and LDAP.. Then it won't consider your Novell client connection.
I generally prefer LDAP only.

It's possible that the volume objects were never created in eDirectory. Sometimes that happens, even though the physical volume exists.. You need to go to the server console and in NSSMU, on the volume properties, hit the Update NDS button. I think it's F8 but you can see it at the bottom of...
There's no reason to even use NWADMIN. It's probably because NWADMIN doesn't have snapins for NSS volumes, i bet the object is there, you just don't see it because the icon isn't what you'd expect.
Use ConsoleOne or in many cases, depending on what you're trying to do, you can do it from the...
Does the utilization go down to normal (1%-3%) after the file transfer is complete?
Are you READING files FROM the server or are you WRITING files TO the server?
I would not expect READs to cause high utilization.. If WRITES to the server are slow and causing utilization, it's because you...
I don't think I've ever seen a hard drive cause high utilization. It's usually something else.. SATA works fine though I never recommend it for production environment unless it's in a RAID 5 configuration. I see lots of server failures that cost $$$ to repair/recover from because people...
