We have a small town client who is looking to connect their library to the existing merlin legend in the town hall.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a third party vendor who has come up with a product to emulate a T1, or some other means use UDP without updating the switch. Any ideas would...
We have a G3R12 with two recently added ISDN-PRI outside ciruits. There are 4 remotes (Prologix @ R10) connected via point to point T1's.
Caller ID info (#) comes in fine to the main site, and when list trace TAC # for the remote ends T1 shows the caller id digits are making it to the sites...
Similar to this topic. We are looking for a dial-code, or extension we can setup that rings a series of phones (better so if it can have a differing ring), and indicate a prioriy call without sending direct to the attendant.
Any ideas?
We can ping the machine-- that's what has us confused. We've warm started once, and cold started once, and usually do planned restarts every 60 days or so.
We have an intuity audix box that seems to have stopped accepting telnet / ASA (ver 1.1) connections. Works fine if you login at the local console.
We've tried re-booting the system, no change. Anyone experience this prior? Suggestions?
We have coverage groups assigned for pickup and call coverage. On some executive phones we have a private line number assigned. This shows as it's own CA button on the stations.
Is there a way to ensure that this line is not available for a group pickup, or does not follow the coverage of the...
Chiefred,
Thanks for the tip. All of our switches are connected via t1's. As it works now, the users personal number hits the main switch, and then covers via the T1 to the remote physical extension.
We have a central Definity G-10 and Pro-Logix out in remote buildings. Employees are provided a "personal" DID # that enters the central site, and is covered to a physical extension # (Coverage Remote) in one of the remote sites.
Recently employees have begun to travel between multiple sites...
Kevin,
It does... sends it only to "99" (Audix) but the call pickup still seems to work. It does (if not picked up, or followed) wind up in the voice mail for the private number. It's the pickup I'd like to restrict. In some areas--- the receptionist can hear the phone ring, and just hits the...

We have a remote connection site (construction trailer) on our property that has a MM Fiber connection to our main building. We are looking for a device that will allow us to use 6400 definity station sets over the fiber. We have looked into putting IP phones up there, but the quality has been a...
Nick,
We have just three-- none of them can get in, all giving te same "System is busy" error. Stations are set correctly, in fact we even get the warning that the extension is associated with another station (it's a physical port) to which we can say yes-- then the error for system...
We just started receiving a system is busy error message on IP softphone (3.2.14.0) Clients. These have worked fine prior and we cannot identify any definity or network changes.
An Avaya technical note indicates this error for one of three causes-- we have checked all three. 1) System...
We have just updated to a Definity a site from the Legend/Magix platform and are having problems getting a few features configured to similar operations.
We are using a G3 and Intuity and looking for a way to create a Direct Voicemail transfer similar to that simply available on the magix...
Matt,
We have had a similar problem on these sets as well over some DS1 trunks. What we found was the headset volume was turned up so high that this was actually causing the sqealing. Depending on the line, sometimes it would appear and sometimes not. Try lowering the volume on sets with the...
