I would look at wiring, possibly AMP cable is pulled off just a tad. also there should be no user id used on either side for that port. Reboot all, and try again.
Hi !
I use VOIP daily, with MCK EXTenders, Cablemodem, DSL,
through the internet. The best bang for your router dollar is the Linksys/Cisco BEFSR81. This 8 port router does a good job at prioritizing by port, ip address, etc.....I put my own business calls on it...
Hi ! I don't know of any books, in general VOIP
requires low latency transmission, voip is small packets, but need quick delivery. Opposing VOIP is internet,
large packets, and can be slow....The routers need to be programmed to send the voip packets prioritized over data. That's it. If you do...
I have a couple of older Norstar systems, a 3 x 8,
and a 6 x 16. They work, however, the time and date re-sets to jan 1. every time they are powered up. There doesn't seem to be any way to change the time & date
in programming......Anyone have any clues, besides the
forklift upgrade ? Thanks !
I resolved my own issue. In 4 different levels within EXchange site administrator, I added the exchange service back in as an account.......That did it.
Thanks !
Hi Greg -
I have been able to add accounts, with this email server, as a workstation in the past....The PDC does NOT have a menu item for exchange. I created an NT account for the user, and tried to have exchange "use that NT account", but got the same error message: " An error occurred...
I was allowed to delete old mailboxes, but it says
I don't have rights/permissions to add new mailboxes.
I am signed in as administrator...I enter the first / last name, then it gives me the message (when I clock on OK)
Any Ideas out there ? Thanks !
wireless can cause delay. VOIP requires low latency.
Is your wireless device a router or bridge ? Huge difference in the answer to that question, as far as VOIP is concerned. How many users, what compression ? Any PC / what kind of traffic besides voice is there ? tom@rickenbackercommunications.com
you can do VOIP with the units I sell. My units connect
to a corporate PBX. So, you'd get dial tone from the PBX; dial wherever you want......tom@rickenbackercommunications.com
Hi ! Few things to check with an IP install:
1) have all u nits on latest firmware, for 8/12 port units, this is most likely v213r5 sw. (free on MCK Site)
2) next, you should have at least 50 MS in for Jitter delay
(setting on the PBXgateway side under config>port>default>voice), for a managed...
Hi Folks -
Help needed ! Panic mode. I am trying to install a vpn
into an NT server. I downloaded the ipsec file needed,
msl2tp.exe, and when i try to install this on the PDC, I get:
"d:(path) is not a valid windows NT application.
Help ! Any ideas ?
Hi Joe -
www.rickenbackercommunications.com does have in stock re-furbished MCK equipment. I spoke with them today, they have
8 and 12 port pairs Lucent, and some Nortel.
