Ok, let me rephrase that.
4.1 was SUPPOSED to be compatible with PRI but as most of us discovered the hard way over the years, it really isn't!
There are many known bugs & issues with pre 6.1 versions when used with PRI but they may not manifest themselves for years.
Many systems will run...
I didn't even know I could capture anything from a MICS into an an Excel file with NRU.
I've never noticed any kind of capture option that I can recall but then I never use the browser tool either.
Can you give us the step by step on that?

I can't believe how often this particular issue comes up here and goes totally unnoticed.
4.1 software is definitely NOT compatible with PRI!
You can find an endless stream of information and FAQS on this subject here.
Bottom line is that you need to upgrade the system to 7.1 with a release 2...
Hey Marv,
Did I misunderstand your last post?
Anytime I ever lost and restored programming on a MICS with PRI, I had to either know (and re-enter) the original key code or buy a new one before PRI would function correctly.
I thought I had the most current version of NRU (11.0, WI 1.07) but...
Just so we all understand where you're at on this, have you already upgraded the system to either 6.1 or 7.1 and have you verified that the NVRAM pack is release 2 or higher?

Unfortunately in this rare case the telco may not be the culprit.
There are many very well known and well documented issues with older MICS software when used in conjunction with PRI and they have been covered here in great detail over the years but the short answer to your question is that you...
I'm sure most of the real techs out there already know this kind of basic stuff but while we're on the subject and for the benefit of those who don't already know, let's not forget how important it is to have the entire telephone/aa/vmail system on it's own, dedicated electrical outlet, which...
I can't think of a single electronic telephone system that doesn't need clean, steady, filtered power at all times and most of them they can't take a joke about it either, not even for a few milliseconds!
We don't even warranty systems without power protection, nor do we waste our time...
Whoops, I overlooked your first link to the RAD in the FAQ section there Curly.
I wonder if Jerry remembers where he found that list he presented back in '09??? :)

Aha...another little tidbit of value in my quest!
Thanks Curly! I figured the cards were probably not a big factor cuz there's only one of each in this particular system but now that Tek-Tips seems to be the only real Norstar think tank & information bank outside of (...choking hard again...)...
Correction:
I'm doing this preliminary calculation from memory and I forgot that I disconnected that trunk module last year and moved the one and only remaining analog line card over to the ksu to make room for an additional station mod.
I know for sure that the only two remaining ports on...
Heh heh, I'm a little confused on that one too Curly. :)
Maybe this is the answer he's looking for:
No, you have to change the OLI for each set individually.

All voice mail systems have a finite amount of space to work with when it comes to storing greetings, messages and custom menu recordings. As mentioned above your problem can usually be attributed to one or more overflowing mailboxes.
End users should always be trained to check their mailboxes...
First I'd like to thank Jerry Reeve (and give him yet another star) for the valuable information he provided for us on this subject back in '09 (details re-posted below).
I'm not sure where this information came from but I noticed that it didn't include a couple of items that I'm looking for...
Update 5/24:
I've still got problems here. The clocking errors (Events 312 & 313) went away after I swapped the clock card and it ran flawlessly for a day or so but now I'm getting errored seconds again and loss of frame. Also getting numerous codes that aren't in the book.
Anybody got a copy...
Update:
This may be a bit premature to announce but I changed the clock card out at noon today and haven't seen a single alarm or event code yet!
No one is more surprised than I am on this one, particularly with the ongoing construction project nearby still in full swing.
I've only got about...

Appreciated any advise,"...
Uh oh.
Since this was the very first Chinese made Norstar I ever installed, I really have to wonder if I have a problem on my end now. Anybody else ever had any trouble with any of the Chinese manufactured Norstar KSU's?
