Thanks for all the replies. Seems it is a HW issue. I switched the NICs on the server and it worked. Strange, it can always go out but stops accepting connections. Usually after a reboot. If I reboot or switch them again it starts working again. Dell is swapping them out so we'll see if...
Yes. i have two web developers that have looked at that also. PcAnywhere can not access it either. Although i can access it from another server on teh same private network. This points to a firewall issue but we have looked at this inside and out. Could the Ms firewall be faulty and be...
server behind our ISP's firewall. I have tested that the firewall is letting connections through as I tested this IP on a different server. As such i am assuming that it is an OS setting that is blocking the connections.

I can't access nor get the server to serve request to IIS I can access it on the 2nd NIC with a Private IP only. MS Firewall is off, and I have tested the Public IP on a different MS server 2000 box.
Can anyone suggest a setting on Server 2003 that I have missed that is blocking a connection...

I am trying to send an email from Outlook 2003 but want to change the 'from' address to a second POP account within Outlook. The user attaches to Exchange 2000 with IMAP plus has two POP accounts on it. Outlook 2000 had the ability to dothis by selecting the address from the pull down menu...
Thanks for the reply.
We have 4 users that now fax the old way and want to see what is available to automate a bit. Beyond that I need to build a requirements sheet as I look into what is out there and can nail down our needs.
Cost will be a big factor so we will be looking to keep it to...

I have tried paste special and the same thing occurs. It pastes without error, the image jsut won't show up. Just like it cannot find the path to the image.
Note: I have cleaned up the HD and patched it. Now the users is able to paste from ACDSee but not the "SnagIt" app. Does anyone know...
I can't copy and paste an image from ACDSee, SnagIt , IE... into my Outlook 2003 emails body. I get a broken link icon. Oddly, if I paste the image into Word first, then copy it again into the clipboard... then it WILL paste into the emails body???
Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this...
Good point, thanks.
Outlook 2003 is the email client that won't accept the pasted image. Or more accurately it pastes then shows the image as a broken link. Again, a work around is to paste it into Word first then copy and paste it into Outlook.

Answer;
I have the answer for anyone interested. Seems my POP email supplier's server causes this issue whenever two of my users hit the POP server for thier email at the same time. The Outlook client receives an error and stops pulling POP email until outlook is closed and reopened.

For anyone interested I found a solution.
You need to delete the listing in the 'File Type' tab for csv files in explore.
Open Explore | Tools | Folder Options -> File Type tab
Scroll down and find the CSV extension and delete the entry.
XP SP2 adds an entry in here for CSV file...
Can anyone suggest how I can easily automate a daily message to be sent to a select group of users (or maybe a 'pop up' on thier desktop) at 4:30 for a reminder? I was hoping maybe group policy would do it but don't know how.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Greg
