Make sure you have H.323 packet inspection turned off. Avaya does not seem to play well with it. We have found that the "cheaper" the router, the easier it is to get working. Good luck!!
I was able to resolve it. In the SIP Line tick caller ID from From header. The 8.0 IPO did not have this option and apparently with this provider it needs to be ticked on 9.0. Thanks for playing!!

I found an old thread that did not have a resolution and I am having the same issue. I upgraded a customer who already had SIP Trunks to 9.0 from 8.0 and now when a call comes in it has external in front of the Caller ID info. I know that they are getting the CID info...

Send them to a menu that states, after the beep state your name, Timeout to the meet me conference. The person will hear the beep of them being added to the conference and they will say their name on the live conference. Not "really" what your looking for, but a simple way of making it happen.

IPGuru has a good point, if it is just leaving a message in the mailbox then it is working as designed. I assumed when flopeedo said that it would "conference' the voicemail, that everyone on the call was hearing "Welcome to IP Office, for help at anytime press *H.......".
We have it working on Juniper SSG20's and SSG140's. The only complaint that I would get from one customer is similar, one or two of the three VPN phones at the remote site would lose connection. I would get the service call and try to figure out why, they would unplug the phone and reconnect...
