Essential Edition on call notification

hey guys/gals

Is there a way to have an on call notification... I use the user BLF right now but because I have a 9504 I have to scroll every time to see if there on the phone. I'd much prefer if there was a way to have the system tell me they're on the phone when I call.

Any ideas?
 
one-X Portal for IP Office is an application that runs on a web server connected to the IP Office telephone system. Using a web browser, you can access the one-X Portal for IP Office and use it to perform actions such as:
• Control your telephone and telephone calls.
• View details of calls and directories of contacts.
• Configure settings that affect how your calls are treated by the telephone system.
• Conference calls.
 
I use that too, but have they really not put the on call notification feature in yet... I've seen discussions about it dating back to r6. This has been the hardest feature to tell new customers they're loosing, it's so simple.
 
are there any other work arounds that you could advise me on... I have a customer with 8 lines all appearing, could I just give them 1 intercom to allow for the system to tell the caller that they are busy? If I do go to 1 intercom what problems will that create?
 
I wouldn't go to 1 Intercom as you need an open Intercom path to transfer a call. This will cause issues.

 
guess i'll have to put in a GRIP request and hope.
 
good luck with that but if you tell Avaya you can sell 1000 systems more a year if that feature is in there then they might listen.

But you could give them 2 Appearance buttons and reserve the last one for outgoing calls, then calls go to vm immediately and they can still transfer calls out
