how to temporarily turn ringer off for 3900 series sets

There is a key that you can define on the set, I think that it is called a 'ring change' key. With this key you can toggle any keys on that set for scn/scr. See how it works...

'Observe' feature of M3905 for Monitoring of Outbound Calls

Hi, Using the observe feature for any type of set, if configured correctly will observe any call from that set. Incomming to ACD-DN, incoming to PDN, outgoing from PDN etc. Provided you activate the observe feature you will observe all calls both in and out from that agent. Regards

Two questions - Meridian Link / CCR and MARP

Hi, You CCR/Link module does not necessarily have an IP address. It is possible that the service operates admin via RS232 and host link via X.25. However if you have an IP system, outside working hours if you perform a stop NSE and then a start NSE you will be able to define the IP address. Cheers

Getting AUD313 message in Meridian 1 Option 11C

Hi, Do you have M390X handsets on your sytem, it could be that there are problems when the telset screens are updating, there is no need to concern, if you are worried your telco can suppress the message, otherwise just remove mtc messages from your port. Cheers

    Moving Mer mail cube

Hi Colin, To move the Meridian Mail to a different system requires input from your telco. Each system has a unique ID and a keycode is generated for the mail to work with a PABX of a certain ID, should you move the mail to another site with a different ID the mail AML link will not establish...

How to turn off Message Waiting light on 3903

Hi, The best way to do this is to program a MCK key on any digital set. With this key you can cancel the message light on the set. However as the light is on this set may be the MWI dn for another mailbox, perhaps perform a find in the mail with this handset's dn in the MWI field. Cheers

    Traffic reports on loop?

Hi, The best solution would be to use traffic reports from ld 2. If you read that section of the NTP's you will find that you can set hourly reports to be generated for either network loops or, what would be better, route's. The only catch is that the PABX generates the report and outputs it to...

Setup Hunt Group on Meridian 1 Option 11

Hi All you need to do is create a Group Hunt List (GHT) in ld 18. It is programmed much like a speedcall list, simply assign the analogue dn's to entries in the list, once completed it would look similar to this when printed in ld 20. 00 5500 01 5501 02 5502 .. .. 15 5516 Once the list is...

retrieving a supervised transfer on type 500 set

The best way to do this is to use the toggle or disconnect optio in the MPO section of the PABX, enable MPO feature for the handset in question. Cheers

Meridain Hand set problem ???, Help.

The ACD configuration indicates that the ACD-DN is unter the control of an auxilary processor. The auxilary processor, for example Meridian Link, has the ability to control the handset, in this case keys 0 and 6. Therfore it is most likely that the host computer program is telling the aux...

Answering other Lines with a 3903?

The best way to perform this is to use the PUDN flexible feature code. By assigning a RNP key as described above, all the sets need to be in the same RNP Group. All the operator needs to do is lift the handset, dial the PUDN code followed by the DN of the set that is ringing. The PUDN code can...

Deleting ACD DN, get SCH5362 ICPM?

You my find that you need to contact your maint provider as I believe that there is a PEP in the system that is stopping the ACD-DN from being removed. The PEP needs to be removed, then the ACD-DN and then the PEP replaced. Cheers

    Different Ext numbers

Howi, It seems like there is some dialing translation completed in the Option 51. What you need to do is determine what sort of dn 74 is, that way you can follow up how 251 is changed to 262 and how 262 is changed to something else. Cheers

    Forwarding Extensions

You will need to remove the old extention before you can re-use the number as an ACD-DN. At the moment if the extention exists then you will get the SCH code you suggested. Cheers

    audable ringing to Key2

If you set key 2 to be an scn inplace of scr and use the DNDR prompt to delay ring. What happens is the scn key will receive indication of ring and after the DNDR timer expires then it will receive audible ring. Try it out to see if it solves the problem. Cheers

What the heck is an MCDN

A MCDN is an Message Centre Directory Number. It is an ACD queue which has the Message Wait Centre (MWC) prompt set to YES in LD 23. The ACD needs to be a MWC for sets to be able to FNA, Hunt and CFW to the ACD-DN. When the ACD-DN is printed in LD 20 it will appear as a MCDN. Cheers
