how to temporarily turn ringer off for 3900 series sets

We have 3900 series phones attached to an 81c that sometimes need to not ring, just flash the light. All we can do is turn the volume low, but not mute it. If we make the line SCN, the light does not light at all.

There is a key that you can define on the set, I think that it is called a 'ring change' key. With this key you can toggle any keys on that set for scn/scr.
