I am implementing a CTI solution in a call center that using a Meridian PBX 61C. We are using a softphone on the agents deck and CTI calls are being routed to Key 2 (DID line) instead of the ACD line (In-calls) due to a limitation in routing to a PID in the Genesys Software. Any way this is my problem. When the call is delivered to the agent, the soft phone waits to recieve an "Event_Ringinging" message from the switch then audo-answers the call. WE can not answer the call prior to this message because of timming issues. Unfortunately, having to waite for this message allows ringing tone to momentarliy play on the physical phone before the softphone answers the call and plays a zip-tone on the agents head set to notify the rep of the call. Question, is there any way to delay ringing without delaying notification? Or, is there any way to send silence before ringing cadence? Thank you in advance for any and all help.

If you set key 2 to be an scn inplace of scr and use the DNDR prompt to delay ring. What happens is the scn key will receive indication of ring and after the DNDR timer expires then it will receive audible ring. Try it out to see if it solves the problem.

Cheers
