    S8700 Modem Problem

    from linux command line. "almenable" will show current configuration for alarming dialout method. "almenable -d n" will disable alarming out the first number. "almcall" will show what number it is configured to call.

    This was a problem seen on older Communication Manager softwares. There are some patches that resolve this. If it bothers you, contact your Avaya partner to get the patches, if not, choosing all 3 backups will do the same job except there will be 3 files instead of just one file.

    Could you give us a printout of the following file? "cat /opt/updates/update-info" if the patch shows unpacked, you will need to get Avaya to fix or or re-image the server again.
